Tina, I have acrylics and they are super short. Just barely past the tips of my fingers. And they are my real nails. I've never had the tips put on. :)

I can't grow my real nails. They snap and bend so I have to get tips. I used to have them done ALL the time in my early 20s. I miss them but they are high maintenance. I kept my tips cut short too but they do hinder you at first when you haven't had them for a while.

I also used to go tanning regularly and get my hair done all the time. The things you give up when you have only one working adult in your home. I spend zero time on my appearance now. :lol:

right now we're working on "knock before entering" in the morning when we're getting ready 5g, 9b, 12g.

so far it scares the 12 yo if she sees me in my underwear, so that has worked for her. :eek: :o :D

"the boy" is starting to be fascinated with females but doesn't want to admit it yet. but he is very polite in spite of being a young male, so pretty good on that front. :)

the 5 yo is actually getting really good in the morning, but not so much at other times. you know the "want it all and want it now" syndrome.

so far so good not having any serious incidents. always lock the door if there's really anything that should remain unseen! ;) :D

better days are ahead! :)

my philosophy is always to try and find something enjoyable about each stage of kids' development because the good/bad is always changing and they won't be around forever. :)
