Finally got a few new toys for the WRX and thought it'd start a member journal. :)

Finally.. my order (AND BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO MYSELF) came in yesterday... :love:

I ordered a Tsudo catback, divorce wastegate downpipe, and COBB heat shield

GOOD THING MY BF HAS EYES AND CHECKS THINGS FOR ME BEFORE I PUT THEM ON, BECAUSE MY O2 SENSOR IN MY DOWNPIPE HAD A TINY HOLE IN THE WELD... was able to call the company and get it replaced for free due to damage, but now i have to wait another week.. :unamused:

...But I went ahead and put the catback on already and love the sound. The catback was fairly cheap and not comparable to my BF's Perrin turbo-back.. BBBUUTTT, i'm happy with anything but my stock exhaust. It's amazing that I can hear myself driving these days. Hopefully the sound will improve once my downpipe has been swapped.


Now i dont have a picture of the catback on my car specifically, but I will take one soon and update :). For now, here's a picture from the website on a gray 08 wrx

Yes, i will admit it is sometimes over-played to be "murdered out"... but with my 08 grill all black and my stock chrome accents (trunk piece & all window trim now customized to black).. i hope everything can come together once I tint the windows.

I love the sound right now, but hoping to get it a little louder once i change the stock downpipe.. (tsudo better send me a fixed downpipe soon.. its been a week since I returned the defected one).

for the $$, its great!

That's awesome! I am trying to convince my girl to get a WRX...she wants one...but she drives a corolla and its not where worth what she still owes on it so yeah....

Finally after a longgg weekend... I got my down pipe and heat shield on.

First problem we encountered: 3rd bolt (turbo housing) nut broke off. Ran to menards, bought a bolt extractor.
Second problem: drill bit prior to bolt extractor, broke off in the bolt. Soo we ran to home depot and bought a air compressor, die grinder, paint gun (bc I love to customize), and many more tools to cut the bolt out.

Third problem: Accessport was not tuning correctly, had to either buy a new one or get the car tuned by a dyno. Soo we got the bfs car road tuned & I inherited the accessport.

*****finally on stage II***** =) =)

Then after a few miles of driving, got a horribly obnixious rattle! Had to remove the midpipe and cut the undercarriage of the car due to the exhaust.

Thank god for the air compressor we bought that weekend bc we were able to cut it easily.

The rattle is finally gone!!!

Now tomorrows a fun filled day of changing brakes, air filter, and oil. Oh! And hopefully find a way to get rid of that squeaky clutch!! Any suggestions??

There is no clicking when I push my clutch in, just sounds like a squeaky door . When I psuh the clutch in repeatively and super fast, there's no noise what so ever (odd, I know.. which is why I think its just a dry issue)

I'm running a tsudo sp2 and tsudo divorced wastegate downpipe. Love the sound and it was great for the tight cash that I had at the time ($about 700 for the whole turboback) .

Have u had ur clutched looked at by the dealer at all? Let me know if u figure anything out.

My car is going in for the throw out bearing and the clutch because they usually replace the clutch when they do that - or so they say. I'm also having issues with 2nd & 3rd which they seems to think is all related :( I'll let you know what they come up with!!

Christine, my name is Anna and I too have a 2010 wrx. My clutch definitely clicks. My clutch also makes a whining noise, usually when the car Is cold. I run an spt exhaust which, ironically, was yours. Hehehe

I thought it was my heat shield, too; but, when my bf did more investigating.. that wasnt the case.

Seriously though - Anna...it is 100% my throw out bearing that makes the whining noise when the clutch is all the way in and always when it's cold. It has been doing it since summer but I waited for my car to have the stock suspension & wheels before I send it in to be racked and looked at. They looked at it last week, and now my car will be there all next week for them to rip it out and also check the tranny too double :sadbanana:
I wouldn't wait to get it checked out, because they are also going to replace the clutch under warranty also.

I was just being funny since we have the same car and I have ur old exhaust, I just felt it was an appropriate place to insert a smart a$$ comment.

I have heard many people talk about the whining noise on nasioc... I've had that noise since I got the car, she only has 7k on her...but I am pretty sure my manufacturers warranty got voided... um last year when I got t-boned and then prolly again when they had to tweak my subframe... so I guess I am SOL? Hopefully my BRAND NEW car isn't falling apart. She's been enough of a headache because of the accident and I can't sell her cuz she's prolly only worth like 15k... FML... Suggestions?

After wiring them and placing an incognito toggle switch to turn them on and off (even if the car is off).. here's the end result, the leds look way too blue in this photo but they r definitely very white haha.
