01 galant... i hit a deer on the highway which caused me to blow out a tire... i slid down the highway sideways for about 150-200 feet and then rolled over in the ditch on the side.

the rolling wasn't my fault. and i'm sure that you hitting the guard rail was worse for your car than me getting high-centered in mud...

When the Jet went to get fixed, they pulled the front end out and the engine dropped to the floor (bad mounts, was a known issue apparently and "could have happened at any time!").

Good heavens.

RIP Brutus...my '05 STi....but because of God and Brutus I walked away....I was t-boned through an intersection...@$$ wasn't paying attention and launched into drivers side as I was going est. 55 mph....my back did hurt a bit afterwards, and I don't remember impact or hitting a lamp post as I'm 360'ing it towards the gas station (thank God for ditches)! And I'm pretty sure the only reason I spun was bald tires (which is sooo much fun in the rain down here, btw). Anyways, here's my best shot....

I was making a left turn at an intersection that had two left turn lanes. I was on the outside and the inside car came into my lane. I ended up spinning around 180 degrees. Thankfully, I was completely unharmed except for a huge bruise on my leg. Very scary experience.

Sadly, I don't have any pics of my wrecked bugeye. It was my first Subaru and I had it for about 7 months. One rainy night on rt9 in Middletown, I was rear ended out of nowhere, which caused me to spin out and go off the highway head on to the center guard rail. The Cavalier that hit me took off and was never found. It ended up being totaled out due a snapped timing belt..

Glad everyone was/is ok after those accidents, some of them look really bad. :-(
I only wrecked one car, my 1st and thankfully it was not a Subie!
Someone backed into Eric's RS a week after he got it, messed up the rear right quarter panel, it was 'fixed'. But now it's starting to show where they did a half assed job. His Mother also backed into his front bumber with her Tahoe the day he brought it home from the lot! LoL Just left a small square indent from her lack of a tow hitch.

I only wrecked one car bad it was my 04 cav some douche in a exploder made a left turn into my passenger side and did enough damage so it should have been totaled. But they still fixed it. I have a permanent injury in my right shoulder from laying on the horn during impact cause I saw him and tried to swerve into the center turn lane. I didnt realize he hit me till the glass from my passenger window hit my face. I had minor cuts on my face.

Basically I was just on my way to work thinking it was a normal day. And I had just gotten my car from the shop the Friday before (it was a Monday) cause it had been keyed down the drivers side so it had to be repainted.

That car ended up being my nightmare.

I'm glad everyone was ok with all of these incidents....it's amazing how very little attention some people pay when driving...they never seem to realize that they are piloting a 3000 lb.+ death machine...

this one was in alaska, i was messing around in the snow and hit a curb and somehow managed to cause 1,200$ in damage to the front passenger tire,rim,control arm, etc

I don't have a pic because it's in my old email, but I was in Biloxi and a guy backed into my car and caused $600 worth of damage. Ended up having to pay out of pocket for the damages because he was uninsured and it had to be fixed before I shipped my vehicle to Alaska. After the new bumper was put on my husband put 2 large gouges on the underside of it as he was pulling it off the car trailer which the port inspector kindly informed me of :mad:. Luckily that damage isn't visible but he now owes me a lifetime of wash and waxes. :devil:

I eventually got reimbursed for the damages after USAA fought him for 10 months.

i was leaving a car meet one time and the windows were all fogged up. long story short, i turned my wheel too sharply while pulling forward out of the parking spot & totally hit my friends BMW. :lol:

i was a mess. his car had no damage at all. mine had some deep scratches. luckily my dad paints cars for a living & owns an autobody shop so i didnt get screwed too bad.

I've done a bunch of little stupid things...

In my old camry...
Blew the engine (I accidentally hit the throttle when I was putting my shoe on... car didnt even red line and I blew the engine... Should have turned the car off but in a way glad I didnt since the blow up was because of a faulty piston... my engine looked like a shrapnel disaster...)

I backed into a wall in my old camry... few minor gashes on the bumper
curb rash
the worst was at Bank of America... it was a foggy rainy day and I was exiting thru the teller area and I scraped my passenger mirror on the wall.... fail. We bought touch up paint but it looked bad. We never replaced it, the car is 10+ years old.

In the WRX
I turned out of a parking spot too soon and got my back wheel to get on the curb. No curb rash thank goodness...
I personally havent done any booboos to my WRX but last year I got t-boned. 12k later she is in tip top shape

This thread makes me cringe.

About a month after my whole front end was repaired and repainted from an accident(wasn't my fault), I was pulling out of our narrow car port and turned just a little too much and rubbed my fender along the wooden pole.
It smushed the fender and cracked the paint on it and the bumper cover.
I was devastated. I cried soooo hard. Luckily, my husband was able to pull the fender out to normal looking. The pain chips are still there.

in my old car, I backed out of my driveway and clipped my moms jeep. Luckily my dad was able to get the dent out of her car, but the dent remained in my pathfinder forever. Today, i hit a deer doing only about 15 mph, so there's only a small dent in the drivers side fender. Can't wait to knock that out!

Oh that reminds me.

In 2006 when I still had my old Outback, I was living with my mom and our driveway was super narrow and we had to park kinda weird.
Anyway, one day when she was backing out she some how managed to clip my car's front end. Broke a headlight, popped the grill out and gave it a nice dent.
Unfortunately our deductible was kinda high and she basically refused to get it fixed or help pay for new parts. I was pretty livid for a while, not to mention, it happened 2 days after a really bad break up so I was feeling very FML.
A friend at the time ended up putting a new headlight in, that my dad actually purchased for me. The grill was zip tied back in but it was never the same.

I'll play...about 2 days after putting on my summers last year I curbed one of my new wheels. I had NEVER curbed a wheel....until then :(
I stopped at Dunkin Dunuts to get my mom a coffee while on my way to her house.
Some jacka$$ in a huge F-550 dump decided he wanted to take up the whole road while pulling out. I was pulling in and he was squeezing me over, sadly there was a freaking 8" high curb that was happy to take out my rear wheel.

If you know me...you know that I'm not one to cry EVER!!! but I did ball http://smiliesftw.com/x/msn_012.gif http://smiliesftw.com/x/whine.gif like a child while calling my husband to report the damage.

Eric has a square indent on his front bumper where his Mom backed into his RS with her Tahoe 3 days after he bought it.

When I worked for a rental car company we were allowed to run our personal cars through the car wash. To be nice a few weeks after I met Eric I took his car through as I knew he hated his baby being dirty and it was pretty dirty from rain and the wind storms kicking up dust. But when I took it through I was to far to the right and ended up denting his front 1/4panel by the headlight.

I scuffed his wheels on I don't know how many curbs. Even caused the front right one to need replacing as I some how bent it just enough you couldn't see it but it wabbled.

While fighting a carseat in the RS for the 1st time I fell back and busted his center console.

After a night of drinking I fell out of the RS pulling the skirt clean off the passenger side.

(trying to figure out why he stayed with me after I beat his car up so badly! LoL)

Eric backed my L into a fence because he didn't clear the snow off the windows 1st and messed up my RL 1/4panel and bumper.

4mos after I got my car (only driving it for 1mo) I was out rallying and hit an incline a little fast and launched my car, coming down I blew my FR tire. Turns out my spare was flat! The other car who's spare would fit was also flat. No one else there had a spare that would fit my car. I was 30min from phone reception and another 1hr from there to people. Needless to say it was a long day! LoL

I think that's it for the Subarus.

On many occations I would kick and dent my Accord after getting mad at a person and not wanting to go to jail for murder! LoL I hated that car so it was ok.

About a month after I got my car I was in a neighboring city (Merced) for a ticket (for not having my registration sticker on my car even though I had it paid) in my old car the day I bought my new car. Anyways I was pulling out of the parking lot exit which was a one car width wide one but some jerk in a corvette had parked on the street with his front end sticking into the space giving me know room to go sideways. I was going to back up but then saw a line of cars behind me. It was either going sideways and scraping the corvette or going straight off. I went straight off and it ended up cracking my bumper. I pulled over and threw a big hissy fit. Ended up getting it fixed about 6 months later.

Also had an incident on the freeway, I was about 5 car lengths behind a camry on the freeway just cruising. She ended up running over a piece of tread instead of swerving around it. It flew up and completely took off my drivers side mirror. She didn't even notice. I had to pay a $500 deductible to get that fixed. It hit the mirror with such force it swung and made a huge dent in the door. $1,400 worth of damage.

when i was still in highschool my first car was a vw bug ... asked for a lifted wrangler and thats what i got ... anyways i was parked behind my mom's ford escape i was out with my friends and when i came home they were appoligizing to me and told me it was getting fixed i was like what happened ?!?! and my dad told me that my mom was backing out, failed to see my car behind her and backed right up onto my hood.... i couldent help but to laugh its was so funny

I've had this jeep since i was in 5th grade and it has almost 300,000 miles on it gotta love jeeps inline 6 engine, with that being said i have hit alot of things with the deer,cones,mud,etc this is a pic of when i was going down the hwy at 65 mph and hit a huge turkey thank god for huge sunglasses no one got hurt ( well the turkey died)

I think the only major thing Ive done with any of my cars was.. They were re-modeling one of the malls in my area and there was oil or something in the parking garage and I went to go park my trailblazer and took a wide turn, and when I went to turn the wheel I slid right into an old Mercedes.. oops. I have a tiny scuff mark on my light, the fenders a little dented, but nothing serious and my bumper needs a new clip. whomp whomp.

I was on a mini vacation for the weekend with my now bf. We took the train so my car stayed home. It was super fun and nice to get away for a bit. When I returned home my dad says to me, "I hit your car..." I was like, "You did what?!?" Then he took me out to show me the huge scratch on the bottom of the bumper where it kinda sticks out on an 06/07. He was taking his motorcycle out of the garage and as he was squeezing past my car in the driveway, his foot peg scraped against my bumper... :sadbanana: I felt terrible cuz my car was only about a year old and I was pretty angry about it and I could tell that he had obviously not did it on purpose...He felt pretty bad. Oh well, since then the bumper has been replaced...so its gone now...:cool:

Ok I have to post up...

I had a bit to much to drink one night and drove onto the hood then windshield of a parked Mitsubishi SUV, then slid upside down for 20 feet. Yeah yeah I learned my lesson!

Oh and I know the wheels are bad, :lol:, I got them free with the snow tires so I said f**k it, they're my new winter wheels. Thank god they died with the car.

Taken an engine out with no job = accident.

Well i got 8 points on my record from previous accidents. passing someone out on the other side of the road with another car coming...(i had smoked just a lil bit).. and one night i couldn't find the volume on the gps so i was looking at it and just turned... ahahahah. so yeah im paying for it now!! like 4gs a year for an STi. 3gs for the evo... :( wish i wasn't so dumb when i was a youngin'

Nodded off to sleep as i was pulling off the interstate to go home... We have a T style intersection with stop sign.. blew by the stop sign.. snapped awake slamming on the brakes and mashed into a guard rail and kinda started to slide under it as you can see from the damage. :( r.i.p suby

so i ALMOST crashed my car yesterday :unamused:

i was leaving my fiance's house going around a round-about.. and my freakin hand slips off my steering wheel and my car is heading right towards a big curb.

uh WTF? luckily i was able to grab the wheel in time and i barely missed the curb. has this stupid thing happened to anyone else? :lol:

No pics but when I was 19 I was bombing down an icy dirt road in VT. Went to pendulum around what would be a left 2 and something caught my front left wheel, throwing the car into violent spin. Mashed the driver side door of my 2.5 RS in on a snowbank.

Since then I've done the winter safety driving school at Team O'neil Rally School (you don't know how to drive in the snow until you've done this!), have competed in rallyx/autox/ice trials/small track events, a 3-day rally school at DirtFish (recent), etc. Doing all that stuff has kept my STI / WRX insurance at $100/mo for full coverage since I was 20 (26 now). Instruction + seat time is the best mod.

Reading back through all the accidents and realized I didn't put my 1st ever and only real accident!
I got my license at 18yrs 2mos, a month later I was driving my 1st car a 96 Plymouth Acclaim. It was a nasty gold "granny" car and I hated it. 6mos later I was taking my time getting to work on a freezing Nov day. I was running about 30min early for work so I was not in any rush. Which was good as traffic heading out of my tiny town was going about 15mp getting on to the freeway at 6:30 in the morning. The lady in front of me refused to let anyone in front of her from the side roads, including blocking intersections to keep it from happening. I tried to let a few people in but no one got between us. Then I started to sneeze, let my foot off the gas, sneeze 1, done, sneeze 2, done, sneeze 3 and I got hit in the face with a freaking airbag! At less than 15mph! without thinking about it I turned off the radio, put the car in park and turned it off. got out and looked at her car, fine nothing wrong but a small 3in craxk on the underside of her bumper. She was pissed and yelling at me, I was in tears, bleeding from my eye and lip. Evil lady! Then I turned to look at my car and my front end was completely smashed, like an accordian! We pulled the cars out of the road into a gas station and waited for the cops, I have no idea how my car drove at all, but it did. When the cops showed up and heard my story as to why I hit her they laughed and had me retell it to like 8 people. Mind you as I'm telling the story I'm bawling & caughing from the airbag gas/dust and their finding it funny. They towed my car and drove me home, I wanted to go to work but when I called my boss he said if I came in I would be fired!
What makes the story a little more sad is my Uncle was in a semi truck across the street and saw the whole thing happen and knew it was me from the car and my Lettermen Jacket but couldn't get across to help me.

BTW- All the pictures make me sad! :-(

Oh god. This thread has made me realize I document waaay too much stuff. Here goes :(. Got the car in May of 2004 as reference.

November 2009. Technically nothing truly damaging. I went mudding and ended up getting stuck. The only reason I got stuck was because there was so much mud on the windshield the wipers couldn't act fast enough. By the time I realized I was in the one mud hole (there were several) I shouldn't be in, it was too late. I messed up the spash guard and just trimmed off the pieces. Took me 8+ hours to clean all that off. More attention driving around like that for a week than any mod I've done.

May 2006. Approached a turn WAY too fast. Drifted into the opposite lane, barely regained control only to graze a mailbox. Had a fine scratch on my front window trim to a huge dent on my C pillar and a scrap across the wing.

October 2008. This is technically the 2nd rim I destroyed. However, this one we managed to repair. I don't have a photo of the 1st one, but this one I hit a pot hole that wasn't there last week at 35mph.

Same month. I was detailing my car. Decided I couldn't do this in a messy garage. Started to clean up. Someone decided to put a framed photo on top of all these boxes... it fell. Around the same time which I didn't photograph, I was at my parents' house. Woke up to my car alarm. My mom forgot I was home and monster trucked my car with the 4runner. Minimal damage to the hood, bumper, and headlight.

March 2011. My friend was parked next to me. Bypassed his clutch safety remote start when it was installed. Remote started it into my car. JDM aprons and APR rear diffuser were the unfortunate victims.

I now need a lip to cover the scrapes under the front bumper my b/f was driving my car on the way to hospital when my son busted his mouth open. Gaven is fine! Ended up with a fat lip and the ok to eat as much ices n icecream as he wanted lol. As for Tuesday ( mysubie) tons of deep searches under the edge of the bumper from a u turn the was not judged properly. Sigh.

Never wrecked mine, it was raining real bad and the lip came off the front. :( but my husband has done some numbers to his subie. The transmission has been replaced, ate some teeth off of 2nd gear, he rear ended someone. So hopefully mine will be safe. But you never know

This morn I was in a super rush to work, I'll admit, kinda driving like a maniac.... and I misjudged the length of my wagon and freaking hit the curb w/ my rear BRAND NEW tire while taking a right turn!!! I immediatly stopped, got out, and checked it out... it was fine though, thank goodness but that was a def oopsie lol. I think it hurt me more than it did the wheel and tire! lolol Dam curbs coming outta nowhere, they're dangerous! :rolleyes:

But I've been rear-ended in my RS 2 times in 2 years.

First was an 80 something Camry - smashes into a very nice GTI - which end up in my rear :huh:

2nd was even more entertaining.
Fully stopped at a stop light.
When all of a sudden the car behind me just lurches into me.

Ends up the "1000" year old driver dropped something.
When he bent down to pick it up, he stood on the gas.

ARRRGGGHHH. :mad:

Also have to get a new car seat. Matthew was in the car. But is ok. I however am in pain. Stupid neck and upper back is sore. :sadbanana:

I don't have pics to remind me of my stupid oops but I'll never forget it thats for sure! Driving in omaha on a back road to my dad's to get my daughter and the main entrance was blocked bc of an accident. so I drove to the rear entrance which is sort of a country road, it was winter but we had had a warmer day so it was icy in spots and slushi in others. I see a red cobalt ahead (think to myself how dumb is that ugly thing) and the kid hits ice and comes head on at me so I think hmmm pull left and have him gain control and take out my passeger side of go in the ditch in the snow, well I decided ditch and daddy had to save me with his big ford truck afterward=( my drivers fender was toast I managed to crack the front clip exactly in the midde and I when I hit I hit sorta hard and screwed up my steering wheel. I hurt the ac condenser but oddly enough stopped my radiator leak! I'm just glad I was in a subie and that she wasn't badly damaged, any other car and I might have been hurt.

Stupid Casino Parking extremely stupid oops of mine.

Old grandma (another associate running late for work, in a crappy POS old merc) cut me off. At this point I got pissed off.. went into the parking garage, became all excited because there was a close parking spot, pulled in and BAM. I LIGHTLY hit the metal caging around one of the posts. Immediately threw it in reverse and ran away to find a parking spot that wouldnt give me an issue. Geezus.

No assessment of damage was running too late in order to even dare to look.

I hate days of cluster.

So as a photographer, I get into that mode of... kind of forgetting everything except taking the perfect photo... and in my scouting... I accidentally stopped... in soft sand. And then I panicked and.... got myself stuck deeper.

No one knew where I was, myself included, and I ended up having to call 911.

No real damage to the car though, thank God.

Was leaving a party at a friends house and it was dark, asked a few guys standing in the yard to help direct me since I was backing up between two cars and couldnt see well with my tint & the windows down so they said "oh yeah your clear" just as I backed into a giant boulder! :( Scratched my back bumper and am going to have to repaint it. Grr.

I don't know if i've ever posted pictures of the major accident I had a couple years ago. I've been in two, both were because of the same thing. Oncoming traffic turning left in front of me on a green circle causing me to t-bone them. One was a man who didn't speak english, and this one was an older woman. And believe me, i'm a fast reactor and I still couldn't even remotely avoid these. I ended up going perfectly in between that slope in the curb on a corner of the street. Held up pretty well considering I hit her going 40mph.

The mini was my parents pride and joy as well. An 03 they pre ordered from Europe. Fully loaded with 16,000 miles on it. It was tragic.

Update on my non fault OOPSIES.

So an officer finally came and made a report for hit and run. I guess this stupid 20yr old chick is in BIG trouble now since she lied to her parents AND the officer right at the first question.....dumb ass. Trying to work with the insurance company to get my car fixed but due to her mess up on her "previous" claim we are stuck in limbo. If things fall through with insurance we can arrest her too but I would rather my car get fixed honestly. I am still pissed that someone on OUR block in OUR neighborhood would think that they could get away with hitting my car. HELLO I think I would notice the f***ing blue paint that is on your white car. :lol::lol::lol: Ughhh people are so stupid I swear. lol
