What happened in my subie?

When I bought my subie I checked the carfax and no accidents were reported . But when my dad and his friend [co-owners of an auto shop] looked around and said the car was definitely painted, but there wasnt any frame damaged. Some clips on the bumper were gone, but other then some small dings things were 'cool'. Not bad, I paid wayy under 10 grand for the car and it only had 63XXX miles on it + aftermarket warranty. But tonight at work [yea, i work security from the car] I was taking apart my dash and was like, "hmm let me screw around with the shifter and take the knob off." and this is what i came across.

I know the previous owner was about 25/26 and a guy that lived about an hour from me, I would love to get him name and see if he's alive.. :/

Awefuly bright to be blood depending on how long you have had the car for. But you never know...haha

Blood congeals quickly to a dark brown color. I highly doubt its blood. I would put more of a bet on either some sort of artificially flavored drink or a lubricant but not blood.

Agreed too bright to be blood. Not to mention you would probably have more damage to cause blood to get into odd places like that.

My car was a salvage rebuild (crappy rebuild I might add - great strong motor though). Haven't found any blood but it was like the entire side of the car that was screwed... and apparently air bag deployment since my air bag light is still on. The guy promised it still had air bags in it... hope to never have to find out! Although I have seen more injuries caused by the damn thing than anything!

A buddy of mine bought a salvaged Eclipse. He was ALL Excited about it saying it was just damage to the roof. Found out a guy was freakin' decapitated in it! He said "they cleaned it good". yea.. I told him to look at the cushions he's sitting his butt into - bet they are red!!!

Yea I figured it wasn't blood after my initial 20 minute bugg-out cause, yes it would be a dark brownish color by now.. I'm thinkin its a lubricant cause I cant imagine juice getting in there, but its possible.

Definitely not going to lick it, thats what my dad said lmfao. But it is an interesting find.
