WRX handles very well. When we got snowmageddon last year (19+inches of snow in the DC area) we took out Adam's WRX (04 Wagon) and it was a beast. Its like the little Red Wagon that could. My Wrx handled super in a dusting that we got (but then again I am a paranoid driver and wont drive in snow...) so the little I got to test her she did just fine. (I got run off the road several years ago in my camry by a truck, this is why I am so scared. I also slid and almost hit someone when I hit a patch of black ice)....

I'm contemplating between the two myself! I have an impreza now but it's time to trade it in. :)

i think they handle equally as well. Ive driven my boyfriends wrx in the snow and its very good and my legacy is also very good. The legacy tends to handle a little better but that is only b.c i have some suspension parts that my boyfriend doesnt have.

Yeah I think they both handle incredibly well, I had a WRX that did amazing in the snow - only had one accident due to me swerving from hitting an animal. I have an 07 Legacy now that handled very well during last year's snow storms

i cant speak for our current legacy cause i've never driven it... but our previous... a 97 didn't handle nearly as well as my 02 WRX... when we bought my WRX i took the corner for our street in 3rd gear probably around 30mph not thinking cause i was talking to nick... (this was like a day or two after we bought it so i was still getting used to driving manual too)
I gasped "whoa!!" cause the car took it like it was nothing.
our old legacy could have NEVER done that.
our 95 leggy has some issues so i dunno if it could manage the same thing... but like i said... i haven't driven it yet. (maybe we just suck at buying leggy's )
