Anyone have any thoughts/reviews on the hood scoop delete kit? Does it protect from the snow in the winter?

Get a hood from a 2.5i? Are you getting a front mount?

Well he's installing a front mount intercooler, and I dunno what we were thinking but we got a scooped hood, so now we are thinking of either trading w/ someone who has a scooples carbon fiber hood (which is a waste of money cuz the scooped cost like $150 more) but we both really like the look of the scoop delete. But my concern is like wont the snow get into it? or the rain or other potential damaging things? Well at least i wont have to worry about finding any birds on my top mount lmao!

Ya I love the scoop too but w/ a FMI there is no need for it and it just causes a slight bit of drag. And he was saying the same thing that it looks stealthier w/o it. But scince we already ordered the scooped hood we were looking at the hood scoop delete kit, I think it looks real nice too...

The amount of drag produced by the scoop for daily driving is negligible (even for road racing). You won't notice any sort of MPG increase or anything if you get rid of the scoop. The car will be fine if you get snow in the scoop.

Just remember to clean the snow out of your wheels if you play in parking lots.

Ya we just want to get rid of the scoop for cosmetic reasons. I swear the seibon CF scoop is even bigger than the STi's baby eater lol and since we dont have a spoiler, the scoop just looks even bigger and just wierd on the car lol. Just looks unbalanced or something, we dont need it scince we have a FMIC, and I think the delete kit looks cool. So we'll see what we end up with.

If anyone wants to trade a scoopless CF hood for a scooped one let us know!! It Has to be clear coated though! Seibon doesnt clearcoat them.
