cxracing exhaust

soooo... after being in a caravan yesterday with the quietest car... i decided i need to get on the ball and look for an exhaust. yesterday, i was talking to the guys from jnaperformance who said cobb & invidia don't make an exhaust for my car anymore. i did a little bit of research online to find a company that makes them and i found this:

i did some more research and found out they're a relatively new company, no warranties on catback exhausts and they're pretty much an hks knockoff. i'm going to email them to see if they have a clip of what the exhaust sounds like, too. does anyone on here know of someone who has one? if so, does it sound nice? (i don't think i could buy anything that's as loud as meg's though :p haha)

Honestly Jess, I'd search the forums for a pre-owned exhaust. And while I miss my loud exhaust, it's not realistic for a daily driver. Plus it got me pulled over and how many tickets can you REALLY talk yourself out of a ticket? Loud isn't everything.

I agree with Sarah - check out mysubie.com's parts finder.

Also, I would suggest going to lots of meets and trying to find the best sound for your car. Once you find what you want, the combination can be found on mysubie.com's partsfinder and then you can get the quotes from vendors.

I am all about searching for the best sound before I commit.

ya, i don't want anything super loud... but i want something with a little more depth to it. i also want to find one that has the bolt in silencers (like the agency power ti tip exhaust) so if i do want it to be quiet i have that option. i'll check the mysubie parts finder and see what i can come up with! I'd ideally like something used.

I can't find what your driving but for a 02-07 wrx or STI I'd suggest:

An invidia upipe(which you said they dont make anymore, so thats outta the question), edge racing down pipe, and magnaflow exaust.

This is what we currenlty have on our car and it gives it that nice subaru rumble w/o being to loud, I can hear it pulling up infront of the house but its not one of those that you hear driving away two miles down the road, like this dam fugly mustang that lives on my block lol.

You def don't want suttin too loud so the cops have a reason to harrass you lol

i have an 05 legacy gt. that's why they don't make the catback exhaust for my car anymore from some of the bigger companies

Sounds louder than you think it will be. I don't think he has the silencers in that seem to come with it. That will effect the sound a lot.
