The 2010 Outback's redesign doesn't have them. I got this email today from a potential customer:

"I test drove one down here and like the car very much, but I cannot believe they widened the car and they do not have collapsable side mirrors. It had to be a man design! Women are much more practical. When are they going to fix this?"


She made my day. :D

i didnt want to do this but... the only reason it can be called a man design for not having collapsable mirrors is because when men park wide cars we dont need collapsable mirrors to make the car fit!! lol jk

maybe she shouldn't be so bad at parking the cars. and maybe if it was a "woman design" it'd have an oven and sandwich making station?

they might be able to order that part, and swap it like the GC kids do with their JDM parts.

I told her if they fix it in for 2011 they could swap it out as long as the overall body design isn't changed.

Also collapsible mirrors are not so you can fit into a parking space its so when stupid people try to walk between your car and the one next to it with the scratchy butt buttons on their pants or the studded belt their wearing or the purse with a bunch of useless jingle things on it doesnt rub all over it scratching it up.
