I just picked up my 2010 WRX hatch last week and I love it :D Here are a couple quick pics of my hatch & my husbands 09 sdn Since my hatch is so new the only mods so far is cat back SPT exhaust, short throw w/momo, I have a front lip spoiler for it waiting to be installed & my hubby is going to hook me up & remove the badges :) I hope Santa brings me the BC coilovers, the sport mesh grille, Hybrid BOV & Cobb stage I........What I've been a good girl.......ok......I've been a little naughty ;)
His WRX is new also he has had it about 2 months. He had an 08 but swapped it out for the 09 after a series of issues with the 08 - it was a pain in the rear end but who could complain...he did get more HP & a stiff suspension.
His mods are cat back SPT exhaust, short throw w/momo, front mesh grille not re-installed yet, & Tein s-tech lowering springs. He had a TurboXS RFL BOV, and a cold air intake on the 08 but he decided to go with the Cobb stage I instead with a drop in on the 09.
I am sure my husband would love for santa to drop him off some goodies tooo but I think Santa may be a little short on ends after giving me a holl jolly XMAS....I crack myself up!

It is more quiet. Michelle and I rip it up the few hours a week our shifts overlap. ;) The guys aren't "allowed" in our office anymore (even the dealer plates have been moved) so it gets especially lonley. Lol.

I guess Santa got the hint because he dropped of the sport mesh grille, the BOV, the Greddy turbo timer so far....I havent decided yet if I want the cobb access port or a tune yet....Any advice on that?

An open source tune (if done right) is WAY better than an off the shelf map. BUT, you can doo more with a Cobb AP.
I have a Cobb AP and I can pull CEL codes and they have other awesome features (that I don't use). Your car is new so I'm not sure how much luck you'll have finding a pre-owned one but I would say pre-owned AP is the way to go for a daily driver! If you don't plan on legit track racing, A/Xing, or something similar on a fairly regular basis with your daily driver than AP is great. You can flash the car yourself if you go on a road trip and don't have access to 93 octane OR you can flash in into valet mode heavens forbid someone else had to drive your car (I've seen an STi flashed into valet mode with a rev limiter and it's hilarious).
For me, I'm now out of warranty so it doesn't matter. If/when I can do a turbo swap (and have a different daily driver), I'll probably factor in an open source tune. Until then, I love my AP.
