Cool! Looks like a blast, wish i would have been there to learn this driving high speeds in the rain training, BEFORE I spun out and smashed a guard rail this weekend!!!!

Yep, it was NJMP!! Can't wait to get retuned and go again.

With an instructor next to me, learned the proper way to take a turn in the wet and at speed. The classroom instruction showed how our everyday driving is NOTHING compared to what we went through on the track.

THat totally sucks, but the exact kinda thing that i wanna avoid. Sorry to hear about that, but this HPDE course/classes would definitely increase you confidence in your driving abilities.

That is a pretty big track!!

That is a pretty big track!!

Yeah it's pretty big but you're moving so fast and there are enough technical driving sections that a lap is over in the blink of an eye!! The two vids were of the straight away on the bottom righthand of the pic. I got up to 100 but with more practice I'll be faster.

Do you know what the fastest/slowest times of the day were? I'd be curious to see what a lap takes.

I asked Mike, the track instructor who dragged me and my hubby out to the track and he said that fast lap times for street cars is somewhere between 1min40secs to 1min50secs.....but to reach that, he said I was 2-3 years away;)...with practice. He'll be joining Subiegirls and will answer ANY questions at all. He even did a bunch of the mods to my baby.

Girl, I've been wanting to get on a track for awhile now. Last year I went to Limerock and showed up just in time to watch a red Ferrari (yum) eat another car on the main straight and that's what really got me interested. This summer I watched a group of friends up and NHMS and was more than enticed.

Mike and Adam (the 2 instructors that brought me out there) roll to Limerock, Watkins Glen, Thunderbolt and a few other places....

Hey all! Just an intro. I've been tracking for close to 10 years, instructing for 8 of those. I also hold a NASA Race Competition Liscence and am the Chief of Timing and Scoring for NASA-NE and PDA. Team IAC (http://TeamIAC.com), formed back in 1999ish and has competed in well over 500 autocrosses, as well as Road Racing and HPDE events. We've also been working on Subarus for that time as well to help fund our driving and racing budgets and own AZP Installs (http://AZPInstalls.com).

Mari did great on track and was really in control of her car. As time goes on she will get smoother and it will feel like she is going slower, but will actually be going faster!

We always strive to setup the customer cars for street and road courses since that's our background. It's a blast to get out on track and really learn your car in a controlled safe environment.

My favorite track is Watkins Glen, with Summit Point a close 2nd. NJMP Lighting and Thunderbolt are relatively new tracks so I don't have a strong opinion on them yet. We also go to Pocono, Limerock, and have been to VIR several times.

Here are some pics of our race cars over the years, if you look closely at the bottom pic, Adam is 2-wheeling it over the curbing at Beaverun Raceway in Western PA:
