This is from my friend Mike on NASIOC. He's also one of the track instructors that dragged me to the track. This has been going on for a few years now and seems to be something quite enjoyable yet for the ACS like Scoobies for Boobies was for the ACS. There's even the possibility of having Ken Block or Travis Pastrana joining us on part of the route. Check it out if/when you can.....Mike will be coming onto the tread later to give more details-Mari

We finally re-did the website, so it should be a lot better to navigate now. There isn't a whole lot of info up yet, but I will be filling it in over the next few days.

Here is the info I have now...

Jan 14th Kickoff in Cherry Hill
Jan 15th SOA Breakfast Visit w/Museum Cars on Display
Jan 15th Staying in Burlington, VT
Jan 16th Tour of VT Sports Car (Where they build the Subaru Rally Cars)
Jan 16th Dinner Banquet/Awards Dinner at Dunham's Bay Resort in Lake George
Jan 17th Final Dinner (Not sure where we are ending yet)

Website is still http://48hrs.info

-mike

We already have the following Vendors/Sponsors Signed on for this year's Drawing!

TIC
Kartboy
Subaru of America
Justice Racing Engines
EFI Logics
Slowboy Racing
COM (Road Racing in New England)
AZP Installs
Darkstar Motorsports
Dunhams Bay Resort
On Target Press
My Subie
NASIOC

Thanks Mari!

This year is the 9th Annual 48hrs of Tristate! It will prove to be fun and exciting as usual! Last year 50 cars raised $25k for ACS and did over 1000 miles in a weekend. I'll get more details up soon. Currently we are having Breakfast at SOA, Touring VT Sports Car, and having our Banquet/Raffle Dinner at Dunhams Bay Resort in Lake George!

Ladies, maybe we can all chip in for corporate sponsorship. And I'd love for us to be a part of the trip as a group.

How much is it to be a corporate sponsor (info isn't on the website)? And are there tiers of sponsorship? I'd like to join this caravan as it heads north (I can't get out of work on Thursday), boo.

Well, corporate sponsorship for right now, is if you can donate something toward the Raffle. So I'd say for you guys, it would be some T-shirts for the raffle giveaway or what not. Just let me know paisan@48hrs.info and shoot me over your logo and we'll get you up on the site!

It is our 9th Annual and it gets bigger and crazier each year!

You won't regret coming along and you don't want to miss breakfast with the CFO of Subaru of America on Friday Morning!

As many as you want to donate is cool with us. We understand how $ is tight right now. :)

We depart from the Hotel at 8am, 8.30am breakfast but you need to arrive with the group to get into the SOA facility.

Details are starting to get hammered out! Stay tuned!

This looks like fun! No way I can make it on the weekday though, maybe Ed and I can link up somewhere along the cruise on Sat morning.

How many cars were on the cruise last year?

Sarah, we gotta do another type of fundraising for this one!! lol

xxthat girlxx

It's $25 to join the team and go on the cruise. I'll look into making a Subie Girls team so that those who want to join up on the cruise can join the Subie Girls part of the team. I'll see what I can get for info tonight.

Subie Girls will also be sponsoring a prize for the banquet raffle. I'll do som research as to how much it will cost. If anyone can throw in $5 or $10 bucks it would be great to help us get our name out there. I know we all really like getting involved in charity work so this will help us in that department.

Before this year I had read aout 48hrs in a Drive Performance and it turns out that some of the guys that work on my car are also some of the founders of the charity event. Pretty cool guys. Too bad you can't take off cuz you'll miss the "meat" of the drive......but from what Mike told me....it was a 50 car lineup.....now having that many subies rumling down te road has gotta be a badazz sound:D...it wou;ld be pretty cool to surpass that and have a nice Subiegirls showing. On the Nasioc thread, Mike said that the final meeting has been confirmed at EFI Logics and final dinner will be somewhere near it. Wonder if we can get some dyno time.....hehehe.....

It's actually a $50 donation per car. The $25 level is to get raffle tickets.

For every $25 of donations that you raise or donate, you will get 2 raffle tickets. Last year we gave away over $10,000 in prizes from Subaru vendors.

:)

An example would be if you came on the drive and raised $100, you would get 8 tickets for the raffle. If you can't make the trip but raise money you get 8 tickets as well and winner need not be present.

Yup we'll be visiting EFI Sunday evening to check out their race cars and shop and then hitting up dinner close to there. This should be good for the NESIC folks who would like to attend since the closing dinner will be relatively close.

Okay, so if I want to join the cruise, I join the 48 hours of Tri-State and make a $50 donation? Or I have to get a minimum of $50 in donations...?

Well you need to join with at least a $50 donation as a "Driver" so either you donate the $50 or raise $50 in donations, basically this prevents folks from signing up and then not showing up to the event. There are various parts of the trip where we need to know who is going to be there for security reasons and logisctical reasons so this weeds out the folks who aren't serious about coming.

PS: When you get a chance e-mail me or ted with your info on the Subiegirls sponsorship and your logo for the website. Logo needs to be 180 pixels wide. paisan@48hrs.info

Passengers are encouraged to sign up as a participant for $25, but not required. The more you raise though the more prizes you will win from the raffle. Remember for every $25 raised you will get 2 raffle tickets for some AMAZING prizes. Hopefully we will give away over $10,000 worth of prizes like we did last year.

Subie Girls Sponsorship
Dyno Certificate to Swift Performance in Norwich, CT
Subie Girls Supporter T-Shirt
Subie Girls Supporter Vinyl Decals

I am estimating this will run around $80. We do have a little bit of money that was raised selling tank tops at WBM. It was originally going to go toward paying for the website but I may use some of it to help cover costs of the sponsorship if we can't get together enough. I know times are tight for everyone so if you can even pitch in $5 to help our website to be a sponsor for this event that would be great. Please PM me if you are able to help.

Thanks ladies (and gents)!

Alright. I was talking to the guy who did all the decaling for the local ambulance core. He said that he'd be able to make pretty much anything we wanted. Bad thing is, those things are permanent. While I don't mind having a huge Subiegirls.com logo on teh side of my car, some days its useful to be incognito. Maybe we could find a place that'll do it on a large magnet (like the ones some small business owners use, but bigger), then we just cut it at the door jams to make it fit.

Just throwin out ideas.

Edit: Found this site

http://www.speedgraphics.net/store/signs-and-displays/magnetic-vehicle-signs.html

The last item there is the magnetic sheeting. The largest they have is the 24'x60' for 30 bucks(60 if you want both sides of the car). Just install the decal on the sheet, trim it, slap it on the car and cut it around the doors and you have a removable, full size decal!

Bored at work and brainstorming :)

HOPE we can get a Subiegirls photo op before we leave Lake George and if not at EFILogics!! There are about 50-60 subies and most defintely doing this next year. The plan is to drive out to Indiana and go to the Subaru plant out there and EVERYONE wanted to go. Will tell you ladies more about it when i know more.

Sarah...sorry about the nail;) It sucks we didn't get to really do the girls night out thing. We HAVE to when we get together again.
Amy....Your STi sounds sweet....it was great meeting you.

Well the 48hrs of TriState has come to a close and we raised over $32k for ACS which blew last years total of $25k out of the water. Meet new people and reconnected with some others. Hope to see all of them and more next year. With 50-60 subies it was hard to roll as one so we were broken up into groups of 15-20 cars which made it easier to navigate through traffic and lights and it was a BLAST!! Hitting back roads in VT/CT and NY and attacking the twisties was an adrenaline rush!!

Tina...sorry you missed out....you better come out to the track when it's time though!!
AMY!!!! You missed out on our subiegirls photoshoot but NEXT time;) And get that STi tuned so you can roll to the track
Sarah....sorry we didn't really get to do our girls night out:( We'll have to in the future!! Gonna drag you out tothe track as well

Thanks for coming out ladies! Great meeting and drinking with you. Next year will be crazy. Maybe we'll have enough cars to do a whole "Subie Girls" group of cars! Although some of the coolness of the trip is meeting new people, rather than just hanging with the same folks.

Great pics!

I expect to see Amber, Amy and Mari out at the track this year with us.

April 16-18 at NJMP is the first event.

I had an awesome time and you BET I'll be at the track this year!

Still uploading the crap-ton of photos I took, but you can enjoy the wonderful sound of Mike and Mari's group 2 pulling out of the final truck stop:

At around 30 seconds, all you hear is the boxer sound.

MMM rumble!

I wish more of you ladies could have made it. Next year though, it'll be awesome to have a nice Subiegirls showing. I'll do my best to support all of Subiegirls charity functions:cool:

Ya If they don't go to Indiana next yr, Ed and I will be making plans to go, but if they do then I dont think I'd be going. Too long of a trip to leave my lil man w/o me u kno..... I'd have a guilt trip the whole time... no fun.....
