For the Love of a Subie. My subie Story.

Hello guys. I just thought I'd share my story. I fell in love with Subies in 06. My Honey decided to buy a 2006 WRX. Soo... I went with him to look and we both fell in love. LOL. I wasn't there to buy but, I fell in love with a 2006 LGT( my first brand new car). A week later I picked it up:) I had so many plans for it.... I did get to put the Perrin short Ram intake in it.

About a year later I was having some bad times. One night a friend called and wanted me to chill and destress (after a breakup). It was late.... On the way to her house I was drivin way fast and I lost control of my Baby. :(

It was the day before my sisters Bday. I had to call her from the hospital to wish her happy Bday. I fractured my pelvis in 2 places, tore a ton of muscles in my chest, was badly bruised, and had 13 stitches in my chin and lip. I was an inpatient for a week. I am alive!!!!! I was told I should be dead and that I am very lucky there was angel looking over me!!! I believe it because I was driving one of the safest cars in America!!!!

I was determined to find another LGT. To pay respect to the car that saved my life. I saved the air intake from #1 and it is now on LGT#2. :)

Thanks. It was a bad time. I still want to cry when I tell it. I did write to Subaru to let then know how safe their cars are. They sent my Honey and I out for dinner up to $100 on them. They wanted pics too. So I sent pics. They were so nice. I don't think I will ever give up Subaru. ;)

Wow, that was really nice of Subaru to do that. While I want other cars in my stable (a girl can dream for a big garage, right?) I think I'll always own a Subaru.

Very awesome that you survived. The third pic threw me off and it took me a couple blinks to figure out what I was even looking at. It's awesome that Subaru showed their appreciation for you writing in about it. :thumbsup:

Thanks :) I am happy to still be here. Yeah, I took the whole back of the car completely off. Luckily there was no one with me. The only good body panel left was the driver door (there was someone looking after me that night). I totally blacked out a second after I lost control. It was a scary night! I was afraid to even drive again. Sorry ladies but the first car I drove after this was my finances 07 Worked Mustang GT (it was wicked!!! RIP Pony due to a tree falling on it in our driveway:( ).
The woman I spoke to at Subaru was sooo nice. I don't think I will ever stray from a Subie!!!

OMG thats so scary, Im glad that you are ok! Im lucky that nothing major happened to me in my accident the other day considering I didnt have my seatbelt on but I do think the subarus saftey aided in that miracle!
