I'm finally getting around to making my car journal over here!! I first got into Subies when I went to Subiefest 2 in April of 2007. It was amazing!! Subies were everywhere and I fell in love!! From then on, I started saving! That fall, I was finally able to buy a car and stop driving my parents, 2000 Toyata Echo! :p I now have an 07 OBP 2.5i. I love the car and I adore the community!! It really is true what they say, "Subaru, Friends Included!" Here's my lil piggy, Wilbur! :D

Now that I was incorporating more pink into my car, I decided to tone down the headlights, by going with black with a pink ring around the projector...

I was gonna suggest that after you pinked out your headlights that you also do your grill sections in pink as well. The only problem with that would be your pink Hellas would be totally lost behind a pink grill.. but I still think it would have worked out fine, though.

Your more understated approach with the blacked out headlights with the pink rings also looks very nice and is more understated, which also works great.

Might I suggest a pink highlighted ring around your grill sections next to the lights ?

^I think the whole grill would be too much. I like the pink you have on the "nose" of the grill now. What if also added that pink touch to the left and right side of the grill as well?

Ive been toying with the idea of stripping all of the grille pieces...

A big thing with the pink is that it is such a bright color and I believe its really easy to go overboard with it...Im trying to maintain a black car with sutle pink accents. I think it looks the best...I have to restripe my grille anyways, because of the accident, so I may just do all the pieces when I do that! :D

I just loved the way the stock one had a carbon look and so when I was gonna paint my badges pink, I was brainstorming ways I could make them look like carbon :)

Couple new things...

After the accident, I had to redo my headlights. I went with the same way I had them, with the black and the pink pin-striping. This time I had Roy Dunn, who did the pin-striping for my car, do the pin-striping in the headlights. It turned out awesome!!

see its little touches like your pink accents that my car needs. lol. originally i wanted to get pink calipers and badges just to give it a little girly touch to the gray but then i thought that it would clash too much with the blue interior. ( my interior is like the older sti's with the blue suede accents in the seats and doors...) so it sucks!!!

have you thought about doing a pink headliner?? that would still keep it toned down and tie the interior into the theme as well...

Hey Thanx again girls and guys!!

About the interior, I am planning on doing some pink under dash lights that will give a light pink glow on the floor!! My bf has blue in is STi and they look sooooo good!! Ive been wantin them since he did them to his :D...Last night He did blue LEDs under his door too so there is a blue glow when he opens his door. Im debating about doin this in pink as well...We will see ;)

He helped me do the "Audi Lights" so I will have to ask him again how he wired them in cuz I suck at electrical :eek:I disconnected my DRL's so I know its not wired to that. He did mine so that they are on a switch but lots of guys around here have it so that they are on with the parking lights...Its all what you prefer.

WOW!!! I think I just creamed my pants! I love all the pink accents, very tastefully done! I was thinking about doing pink accents to mine but my car has so many red details that eventually I will do red accents. I love the head lights and the pink badge. My hubby painted his red to match his WRX. Man, wish i lived in washington just so I could take pix of your car <3

I had them done by a friend of my boyfriends who runs a body shop. He mixed black paint and clear coat so they come out a super clear black. I think it really cleans up the rear end of my car!!

^We had some Winter Weather come through!! Took me 4 1/2 hours to make it home last night!! The most nerve racking drive Ive ever had!!!

The lip looks good!!! I've never really thought about a lip for my car...Lookin at yours has got me thinkin now hehe :devil:

Anna, I think we made it up to 25 degress today!! Buuuurrrrrr!! I had to go and get gas today (Wasted so much sittin around on the highways last night :rolleyes:) and I couldnt get my gas door open!! :eek: :o Up here, we hardly ever get weather this severe!! I just cant believe its not even Thanksgiving yet!!

Yeah, did you hear about people running outta gas that were stuck in traffic!?!? CRAZY! It took me a good hour to go 2 exits on Monday. I woulda been at my destination 50 minutes earlier if 5 or 6 cars hadn't taken over an entire road on a hill. So I had to turn around from that backroad and hop back on the freeway haha. People suck at driving!

My bf almost ran out of gas sitting on 167 about a mile behind me!! People were running out of gas, getting dead batteries, you name it!! I was wondering how all that works with the abandon vehicles!! I was so nervous on Tuesday, but even more nervous to just leave Wilbur all alone to fend for himself and probably get smashed into by some other car!!! I cant believe all the people that did just that though!! :eek:

No way!! That is soo crazy!! That makes my day :banana:

Unfortunately, the only update I have as of right now is my poor baby got a flat on Monday :( I had just left my house and knew something was wrong, so I pulled over and jumped out and sure enough, the passenger's side rear was low...So I went right back home and my bf let me take his outback for the day. Thankfully I had another car to drive. (Of course I had to get my first flat on my very my first day back at school :mad:)

So the next day I drove the outback again, while my lovely bf took my tire in for repair...then I got the news, not repairable...It had been too damaged (Damn stiff sidewalls :rolleyes:). Lucky for me, Brandon had 3 of the same newish tires (just slightly wider) in the garage from when his STi got a flat and he found me one more online with the same tread depth for $50! I would LOVE to just do it proper and buy all new tires, but my funds wont permit it right now :o. I couldn't live without Wilbur for the whole week so I had Brandon put the stockers back on that night until I can get this new tire and get my rims mounted. So now he sits with his stocker on looking so :sadbanana: I cant wait till he's fixed!!!

To top it off, the day after I got a flat, I got sick and have been trying to recover since. My and Wilbur were both sicky this week...:(
