I have two evil jester girls on the back of my calves - as an adult it wouldnt have been my first choice but they are there now & it is what it is. I was just talking to Rick about making an apt with his friend CJ in NY to get some wortk done for both of us. I wanted to button up my half sleeve for the photos but I also have to get the coilover kit & the tune still so it looks like the tattoos will wait a little.

That's hot! I actually made sugar cookies for Super Bowl this year and for the Hell of it while making foot ball helmets with the Saints symbols on them I also did a bunch of cars and "painted" them the colors of me and hub's cars as well as some with fun "paint jobs"! My youngest son even made me cut out a rear spoiler and front scoop for his Dad's car! It was a blast! haha Wish I had taken pix! Maybe next time.

My side wasn't too bad, though I swore I would never do a side piece agian. And now I'm thinking I may change my mind! I just won't have it on my hip, I'll start it higher. It hurt the most when doing the hip, right on the bone, ouch! The top didn't hurt nearly as much. The snowflake was added almost a year after I started the outline of the "dragon"flies and it hurt the least or all my tattoos.

Thanks :) I had planned to stop at my elbow but this one is on the joint so what the hell! My new plan is to finish the right side - work into a chest piece & down my left arm. Good luck with your back! I hate getting tattoos - but I love the end results!!

Thank you. Its still in the planning stages because im not too sure on how to make it all flow on my back. The plan is to add a graveyard with souls and demons under it going through the stages of hell as they are described in dantes inferno. I love that stinging feeling you get when they tatoo you. Its so addicting !!!!!!!!!!!!

i would connect the dots, because if you don't it's just going to be a couple of dots and people might not get it at first. i think it'd look better, when they show you the constellations, they usually connect the dots so you can see it better.

I can't believe you went back after the outline. I had both my feet tattooed out/fill - one sitting. I don't think I could have done it in multiple shots.

I love my fish tattoos! But to each their own. And only Pisces ever know what my fish stand for. I know the three lines for the sign, but I would never know the constellation lines connecting the dots or not. I don't think many people would. So the constellation tattoo should be what you want it to look like. *I think having them be small stars instead of dots would help the cause if you wanted people to know.

i liked the idea of the little stars, thats how i got it... lol. and the lines are up to you. as long as you know what it is or stands for that is all that matters. yes it is frustrating that some people look at my stomach and say..."wow, thats a pretty cool 'S' tattoo..." and it pisses me off cause i have to explain it but i threw in the actual symbol where the head star goes to tie it in more... little things like that are what make them unique. work with a creative and unbiased friend or your tat artist to come up with some ideas... but make sure that YOU make all final decisions.

Love it! I had planned to do something simular on my left hip after getting my right side done. A floral, but different flowers, a titch higher and more towards the front. Then I actaully got my side done and the little that was on my hip damn near killed me! haha I don't think I'll ever get a hip tattooed again!

I do have a cool floral planned for my left chest/shoulder/arm/back area. It's going to be huge! Not sure when I will actually get it done though. Might do one of my smaller ones first, I only have 7 planned out total just need to find the time/money to do them! haha

I LOVE my eyebrows ... but I'm getting them retouched on Tuesday. Mine was very thin as well so I decided on getting them tattooed awhile ago, just took me forever because I was scared of tattooing my face. The lady that did mine said when she saw my eyebrows, "do you know what we call thin eyebrows like yours?" Me: "uhmmmm ... what?" The lady: "MAHU eyebrows!" I started laughing. But, here's a picture of one side *She matched the color used with the color of my hair ...

When my eyebrows are retouched and are healed so they are not swollen, I'll post up pictures. I might do my eyeliner, just scared to do a tattoo that close to my eyes :eek:

*I meant "saw" in an earlier post. The thing I didn't like about the lip liner is that you pretty much have to wear some kind of matching lip color pretty much all the time or it doesn't look good. At least that's my opinion.

I have 5 or 6 tattoos that I got when I was between ages 17-23 and they are not my style now but at one point they were. I'm in the process of covering one of them up on my right arm to complete my sleeve, only because it doesnt match the rest of the tattoos on that arm. I'm keeping the other ones on my legs as a reminder of my personal growth.

Not that I'm aware of. I purchased a sticker at hot topic in high school and fell in love with it. ( love love love cats and faeries) as soon as I turned 18 I had it done as a tattoo by my friends uncle who owns a shop.

It faded out in less than a year. But I had moved away. So 3 years later when I moved back I went to him and he redid it for free and added a little flare to the face to make it cuter.

The snowflake/mountains/waves was my first. I got it less than a week after my 18th birthday in 2003, pic is the day after I got it. Yeah, it's a tramp stamp, but I honestly still love it. It looks great after almost 8 years and it's sort of unique.

I have a gorgeous one on my back that I absolutely love. Its dead center between my shoulderblades. Other than that I have a small daisy chain on my abdomen. Its so low though that to photograph it would be tacky.

LOL! that's pretty good. Inner lip tattoos are fun; I got one mostly because I really wanted a tattoo but I'm way too indecisive.. Which I think is justified esp when it comes to something so permanent. Funny thing is my BF is an amazing tattoo artist but I still don't have any tattoos yet!! (besides my silly lip)

Cheaper if you know someone! I got my big piece of my arm, about 6 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide for only $100 plus I tipped him. My boyfriend has half sleeves on both of his legs and half sleeves on his arms and he's only paid about $350. He also has a chest piece and his ribs done. He has a lot of friends who are tattoo artists.

This is my Latest Tattoo. It's in Memory of my grandmother who passed away 3 years ago from melanoma. While she was in the hospice there was a blue dragonfly that hovered near her window all the time. Shortly after she passed away the dragonfly flew away. The next day I was at a dunkin donuts drive through and a Blue Dragonfly paid me a visit and hovered near my window until I left the drive through. I took it as a sign that my grandmother was still watching over me.

I was in Colorado for my uncles wedding last year and there was a very clean looking tattoo parlor next to the place where they had the rehearsal dinner so I stopped by the next day and told the guy that came out to greet me what I was looking for which was a blue dragonfly that didn't look too cartoonish but not too realistic either with some vines in the background. He went to his drawing desk and came out about 20 minutes later with a design that I loved immediately and he hadn't put any color on the design. He explained how he was going to color it and I told him that as long as there was blue on the dragonfly I would be happy. I love this tattoo, he is a great artist. His name is Adam Godwin and he is set up in Canon City, Colorado (if anyone lives there or visits there) his website is www.evotat.com . He's a really cool guy too.

I also have a small yellow and orange rose on my other ankle that has two meanings. My middle name is rose and my grandmother (on my mom's side) also had the middle name of Rose. She also loved roses as do I. I don't have a picture of it anywhere accessible to me at the moment but I will try to find one and throw that one up as well.

I actually don't think I have a recent picture of it, however my new cheer uniform is a halter top, so there will probably be some new pictures soon.

I have 3 brothers that are military men (army), when each of my brothers enlisted they got one star with an american flag in it (like the one far left). I decided that for my first tattoo I wanted to honor their time of service (as two of my younger brothers are currently deployed and it just felt right). So a star for each brother, it's suppose to complete an american flag between the three like a flag blowing in the wind. It feels unfinished to me, but I'm not sure what to add to it.

@italianhunnybee, I absolutely love your tattoos. One because I had an idea similar for a tattoo of mine to be like that with the flag in the background, but I love tattoos that support any military branch, regardless of the war, we support our troops over there.. I <3 the stars/flag!!!!

This guy wasn't really light handed but it didn't hurt nearly as much and it looks a lot better. Personally to me the upper back is a piece of cake, it's my lower back and close to my spine that hurts.

As far as pain/healing goes it really depends on the artist's technique and the machine they use as well as your aftercare. My BF is a tattoo artist (i dont have any tattoos tho haha) and he points out all of the mistakes and bad things other artists do that really mess up the tattoos and people's skin! :eek: :(

Ahhh, thanks for the tip. Do you remember the red Chinese dress I wore at my wedding with the Phoenix & Dragon? I wanted to get the Dragon behind my left ear and Phoenix behind the right to symbolize our marriage (but in color, not just gold/yellow). It's more intricate so I doubt it'll happen.
