Since this technical thread already exists, I figured I'd throw this here...

Does anyone else have a problem with the forum site's banner being too large? I get this on firefox at home and Internet Explorer 6 at work (can't upgrade at work no matter what backdoor approach I try :()
Banner stays that size and still overlaps some stuff even when I maximize the window...I haven't seen this on any of the other vBulletin forums I use.
And a random thought, any chance we can get some more smilies? I miss not being able to use the NASIOC-esque  and other fun ones :D

For IE6 it is more than likely the fact that it is a PNG file because IE6 had a lot of problems handling PNG files.
As for FF at home I'm not entirely sure. As long as it is up to date there shouldn't be any problems. Try another browser at home like Opera and see if you have the same problem.
I bet if Sarah replaces it with a JPG or GIF the problem would be solved.

I'll double-check when I'm home later...maybe I'm not remembering right and it's only an IE6 issue. I'll get back to ya later.
Ya, this is pretty much my bad all the way around lol
I'll see what I can do to accommodate ie6 users, I hate ie6 with a passion lol
OK, someone please test it out in ie6 now ;)
It should work as long as you have javascript enabled (works when I change my user agent on my side)
I don't have any machines at home with ie6 on that I can test with (doh!)

Consider yourself fortunate.
Banner looks great now! Background is black the way I believe it's supposed to be, and it fits in place nicely. Thanks!
Sorry my employer fails and won't let me upgrade to a less archaic browser version  I'm starting to get tired of youtube and facebook yelling at me that there are better browsers, or that they're phasing out support for IE6. Believe me, if I could, I would. I would try harder, but it's just work :p
