so pissed!!!!! driving to my BF's house and a branch decides to fall, hit the road, and bounce back up. thought it went over the car only to discover it was in my hood scoop and dented my intercooler. tell me why it couldn't wait for a clunker and just had to be my baby???

Aww that really sux!! Well hey maybe you can replace it w/ a FM now!! ;)

The ebay one is pretty cheap and it works just as well as the perrin...

I'm not big on eBay parts. And look into the lag you might get with a front mount.

Did it really manage to miss your entire front end and wedge itself into the scoop?

I wouldn't worry too much about the dent, it's so small you'll never know the difference, however you can try bending them back (just don't over bend them and crack them.)

Im telling you, we've done our research and looked up many reviews on the Ebay FMIC before we decided to get it and everyone agrees that it does its job just as well as the perrin, just cheaper lol. Now other ebay parts I cant speak on.... :rolleyes:

And yes, you cannot install a FMIC w/o an upgrade to a bigger turbo, it will DEF create lag.

But wow a dam branch huh? lol And ya like snowman said if its not badly bent it prob wont do any damage. The week after we finished the project on the STi, some crackhead backed up right into the brand new FMIC! It did dent it about a baseball size, but its doing just fine, cooling off the turbo as it should... ebay and all :p lol

dan just got a FMIC for the STi from AJW. we're waiting for it to come in 2nd week of december. it's supposed to be similar to turbo xs and perrin... check it out here:

now we're just waiting on the cobb intake we ordered which got back ordered and then dan's looking into the fp green turbo. fingers crossed!
