The following links are great articles on learning about how Subarus(and cars in general) function. Cause the more you know, the better!

First things first, how a traditional engine functions:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-stroke_cycle

How a boxer engine works(present in all mid-size Subarus):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_engine

How a turbo makes you go faster :D:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbocharger

Those links are pretty much all the basic info you need to be on your way to understand engine mechanics. Now for some Subie specific info:

http://www.drive.subaru.com/
http://www.driveperformance.subaru.com/Default.aspx

Those links are for Drive Magazine and Drive Performance Magazine. Both are produced by Subaru. Each edition details a Subaru specific component in an article along with some other great Subie news. They're available online and in print. FOR FREE!

If your looking for more info on basic modding the High Performance Subaru Builders Guide is a great place to start:

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/High-Performance-Subaru-Builders-Guide/Jeff-Zurschmeide/e/9781932494518/?itm=1&usri=Performance+Subaru

It really has some good info, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I'll keep adding links and info as I come across them!

Happy Learning! :)

Thanks. I'm really kinda tempted to do a full engine/subaru write up, but I'll have to wait til all of my finals are over. Do it kinda like a wiki page but in normal people terms. I'll see what I can come up with.
