Little fun snowboarding today

I work up at Belleayre Mountain and a volunteer Ski Patroller. But I snowboard. Is better then skiing :)

Anyway, I had my camera up with me today and I thought I'd get some first person video of me cruising down the trail I opened, Yahoo. I had to hold the camera in my hand, so its a little shaky. I'm nowhere near my top speed, since I had a camera in my hands that I was trying not to drop.

Fun!! :) I bet you could get a cool little pen camera that will work for both your car and helmet. OR you could get a helmet camera that you could use in the car while racing too ;)

I was also trying to think of a way to attach the camera to the back of my binding so you could get a "boardside" view of the trip. I'll see what I can come up with. :)

Ya know what? I take what I can get. When we have enough snow for fresh powder, I shall board it with glee. Til then, its groomed for me.

:lol: It's New England, all you can do is take what you can get, I just hate how EVERY mountain feels the need to immediately groom as soon as they get some nice fresh powder.

AZ has some great boarding!

That was filmed on my old board. Its a 151 K2 Mix with K2 Cinch Debut binding and K2 Mink boots(K2 whore much? :D) I'm a total fan of the K2 Cinch binding setup as it allows you to have straps, but the back of the binding flips down so you don't have to sit in the snow to strap in, just flip the back up an GO! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!


BUT I got a new setup which I've only got to play on once so far, but I'm so in LOOOOOOVE:

TOTALLY loved the board! Felt like I was boarding on nothing. Could turn on a dime and it felt like I could place the board where I wanted, when I wanted. The company makes only women specific boarding stuff. Go check 'em out!

Well, they have to pack it down or they lose it. Either it gets blown off or melts so they have to groom it to save it for a little while.

If you ever get the chance, after a big storm during the week, go up to a mountain named Plattekill. I work there. Usually never open during the week but when he gets a dump of more than 8" he opens up for a powder day. No grooming, ALL FUN! Its a great little place. Best kept secret in the Catskills. SHHH!

Sweet! I like the bindings where the back flips down!

Currently I have a 156 (I am 5'10") Burton G-Twin w/ Ride DVa bindings. My boots I go between Ride Sash Boas Tokidokis and my DC Flares. I mainly go to Blue Mountain or Jack Frost/Big Boulder in the Poconos. My b/f sucks at taking pictures of ME boarding even though he has a lot of him in action :lol:

But here I am night boarding.
