It is that time of the year! NASA Northeast is kicking things up this year with Pre-season discounts. $333 for the 2 day HPDE events. Go to http://NASANortheast.com for details. The NASA HPDE program is not simply an open tracking. You get about 2 hours of track time but also included is an instructor who is dedicated to you for the whole day as well as classroom instruction.
I know a bunch of you made it out toward the end of last year, let's keep the ball rolling and keep those Subarus out there.
I started about 8 years ago doing HPDEs with NASA Northeast with a POS Subie Impreza L Automatic with no mods at all. So for all the folks who think their car is in-capable, that's just not true. The best modification you can do to your car is to get proper instruction on track, those skills will transfer over to the street. Eventually after you have become experienced in HPDE you can move up to Time Trials and eventually become a racer.
We also feature several Subarus driven by the guys from EFI Logics at every single race event, so if you come out for HPDE, you get to see real Subaru race cars who usually win their class. Ask Devin about his Street Touring 2 STi and get pointers from him on your driving!
As Race Director and Chief of Timing and Scoring, I will be at all Race Events (Fri-Sun) and a few of the other events as well.
