4th Annual UMass Motorsport Spring Car Show and BBQ

This looks like its going to be a fun car show/BBQ. I know I'll be there, would love to show up w/ a subiegirls tee or tank and a subiegirl supporter vinyl!! ;)

This show is the grand finale of our year. We're shooting for 500 cars
this year. Featured events include:

4x4 RTI Ramp
Exhaust/Audio Sound Off
Lowrider Competition
Biggest Lift Competition
Pizza Eating Contest
Tire Throwing Contest
Vendors and Tuners
DJ's and Music
Food: Burgers and Dogs
On Site Dyno Services Provided by BrandXPerformance Mobile Dyno - FWD/RWD ONLY
22+ Trophy Categories

Exhibits Include:
Umass Super-Mileage Vehicle (Tentative)
Others TBA

Price:
Free to attend, $10 to enter a vehicle in judging. Events and contests are free to participate in.

Hours:
Show area opens at 10:00 AM.
Dyno open to guests at 9:00 AM.
RTI 4x4 Ramp Contest begins at 1:00 PM.
Judging Starts at 1:00 PM.
Pizza Eating Contest begins at 3:00 PM.

Parking In Groups:
If you have a group of 5 or more participating vehicles, you may preregister by emailing umassmoto@gmail.com. State your club name, the number of participants, and one member's contact information. (phone number preferred.)

Tailgating welcome!
Burgers and 'Dogs will be provided by Greeno Sub Shop.

Final listing of show classes will be posted in due time, we typically have a wide range of trophies covering most makes and groupings. Most categories will have 2-3 trophies (i.e. 1st, 2nd). There is a best alumni award and best motorcycle award as well. There are cover-all classes too. 22+ categories.

Mon: If a group of 5+ girls can commit to going, we should "reserve" a space for us. I went last year. It's a long day, but it's fun. Plus Antonio's in Amherst center is AMAZING.

Christine: I have Thursday nights off now, so I'd be up to going here and there. Lots of muscle/classic cars if I remember correctly. But mmm... chocolate. :)

I heard about the heberts shows but weekdays have never been good for me so Ive never gone, heard its lots of fun though, do they give free chocolate?

I'll try to put a cooler of sorts together to keep us hydrated. But bring yourselves water/drinks and snacks. I will be getting Antonio's pizza at some point during the day for myself to eat. YUM.

About dropping him off early... Ed's already not happy that he cant go amd Im going, while he has to sit in a boring class all day, so I dunno if I can talk him into being there early either.... He can get cranky at times :rolleyes:.... So If anything you just tell me which route your driving and Im sure I can catch up ;):D

Wheres the meeting spot going to be? are you planning on catching the mysubie caravan up there? There are a few people catching that caravan at the Chartlon Rest area on MA 90 around 9am also.... That would be closer to Christine too....

Now this is a rest stop not the gas station stop on Ma Pike right? Do you know if I take the MA-90 on ramp in auburn towards Springfiled, will that put me on the highway before the stop? I dint wanna miss it....

I have no idea where the rest stop in Charlton/Sturbridge is. I'll have to check out what MySubie says. And if you get get on the Pike in Auburn and go west you'll be on the Pike before the rest stop.
