//About the Event
Presented by River Hawk Racing, The Big Thaw Car Show at UMass Lowell will be held on Sunday March 28th, from 10 am to 4 pm (the rain date is Sunday, April 11th). We have up to 270 spaces available for show cars, and there will be music and food as well. This event will be the largest event for the UMass Lowell River Hawk Racing team in 2010, and will be the grand unveiling of the RH-600 Mark II race car!

Personal show cars at the event will be parked in every other space, allowing for plenty of room to relax, set up chairs, etc. It is being held on the corner of Pawtucket Street and Broadway Street, in the very sizeable Riverview parking lot on UMass Lowell's South Campus. There is a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol free event, and there will be a UMass Lowell Police detail present.

We are expecting a diverse group of 150-175 cars to attend the show; we have over 270 spaces available that we hope to have filled! The vehicle makes that are represented so far include modified and stock vehicles from BMW, Volvo, Ford, GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Audi, Jeep, Dodge, Oldsmobile, Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, and Mazda.

Food will be available and provided by other UMass Lowell student organizations as fundraisers for each group.
