Who's near Tuscon???

Ok here the scoot... My friend and I are thinking about packing up and leaving Vermont and move out west. We both lost our jobs and we are just sick of VT because there is nothing here. If we do move out it will prolly be in the fall maybe late october. I was just curious to see if anyone was familiar with the area so we could get plucked into the social pipeline if we decide to venture out :)

Tucson is a sweet, sweet area!!!!! Lots to do and see!! My husband and I talked about moving that way, but staying in the ole' PA for a bit yet! My brother is stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base right now and we've been to visit and LOVE IT!!!! so thats a sweet choice!!! Good luck if you go!

Thanks a lot!!! I have heard nothing but good about that place so far. My dads girlfriend has family out there and she says they LOVE it! The one thing negative thing I have heard about so far is the bugs and scorpions. Im not too worried though cuz every place you go theres something there. Like Florida has gators the north east has skeeters and yeah you get my gist :lol:

I live up that way not in tuscon but phx. It was def a change moving here from Oregon.. There were scorpions in my old house.. TERRIBLE! BUT haven't seen one in months. Bugs eh just giant bees, nothing scary. The worst part about the whole state is a lot of the people SUCK! They are rude and don't care about anything but themselves.. If you move def post on here.. I need more soobs to hang out with.. You have been here a summer though right?? Like in 120 deg?

From what I hear its pretty nice down there, but yea watch out for the bugs and heat. The one nice thing is that you will be closer to Lake Havasu, huge spring break and summer parties (if your into that kinda thing)

Tucson is nice. I have a friend who is going to UA. Im in Phoenix myself and i like Phoenix better. But just make sure not to move to Ahwatukee. People do NOT know how to drive! They all have their big cars they dont know how to drive lol. And theyre all 16 lol. But AZ is awesome. No earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes etc. Just they heat. But everywhere you go has a/c! Were just waiting for Cali to break off :)

I am in Tucson. So after you ladies get settled in it would be fun to hang..I know a few chicks with subies here so maybe we could plan an all girls meet. I am originally from Phoenix so I understand the rude people bit so that's why I like Tucson better. In my opinion it has nicer views, cheaper rent, and is usually cooler than Phoenix. Good luck with the move...hope you guys enjoy it.
