so... i was wondering if anyone had either known of or planned on going to the import face off Sunday May 23 at New England Dragway, for either racing, spectating, or otherwise...?
i know that this is on the New England Subarus page and i figured i would put it out to you ladies.
if anyone plans on going, and there are enough of us maybe we can either have like a mini meet there or put into the car show or whatever. just thought it would be a fun idea....

if we go, it won't be to compete... we're trying to keep our cars on the DL since they're our daily drivers and we don't want to do anything without getting them properly tuned first.
Ed and I are interested in going. Will be spectating only, cant drag yet :(, car still has some minor probs going on... I gotta check my schedule and ill get back to let you know :)

Ughhh I did have another event I agreed to going to this day... but maybe I can split them in half and do the later of the half and meet you guys here...

well if its going to be anything like a regular race down at the dragway, gates open at 8 and im pretty sure they are going to be doing at least one qualifying round, and the first couple actual rounds of competition arent much to see til you get to the last few...and im sure theyre gonna be doing a few shows (god only knows) so.. you should make it. lol

as far as it looks.. its gonna be like mid seventies with low clouds and humidity so ice cream looks like a possibility. i am very familiar with that area and the surrounding ones so i guess that day we can just figure out what we feel like doing right then.

Wish I could go to this! But my little sister has graduation in Vermont!
My car club will be there though... and my car will be there! LoL... Pink wheels will be on, so keep an eye out for mah Subie! The Bf will be reppin' it for me :p

Well NES will have a tent setup actually, but I was referring to my showcar team (Team Crompton)... We're a group of of Manchester peeps with showcars :p I'm actually brand new to them, they asked me to join about a month ago.
It seems like everyone's gonna be there but me! :mad:

yeahh... so i definitely just realized that i have no clue how im gonna recognize any of you if all our cars are outside the gate....lol ha i was tempted to run around with my new subie girls sticker on my forehead so you guys would recognize me

yeah... neither one of us are actually doing anything in this so as spectators do... we will be there when the gates open at noon... :( so sad.
Ok so 12 is good for us too. I'm going to dig out my scoobies for boobies shrit. Ita black w/ pink writing ... so if u see me yell mon lol...

ok so i think that having a subie girls tent would be an awesome idea. i was at the NES tent for maybe five minutes and in those five minutes a girl walked up and took a card to join. i was MMAADDD. lol plus there werent many tents there at all... so if you do like a raffle for something you could make A LOT of money. lets see... the scion tent was giving away tons of stuff (key chains, info, and stuff) nothing good, there was someone selling pre made vinyl, the NES tent, a racing company selling random parts, and a tent that was selling sound systems like amps and speakers and stuff and i think they were selling hookers too cause their girls were barely dressed... lol
so yeah... raffle something off or even do a 50/50 and you could make so much... and get the word spread. there were a few girls there. ill help ;) anything to keep me outta that sun... so a word for the wise for next year SSSUUUNNNSSSCCCRRREEEEEEEEEEEENNN!
I had a good time. It was super packed. Got to watch ed run 5 times... deffff should set up a tent next yr. There werw tonnnns of hondas a few subies so I think a tent would bring even more subies. And maybe we could organize to have a females class in the racing rundown!!!!

im definitely running my car next year. once i saw how small the classes were, i found there is an advantage to be taken of... i used to race (jr. dragsters) but the transition is really not all that different. the trick with this is running a consecutive time, not being faster than the other guy. all you need is to know your car and make sure you stay on your dial without red lighting or waiting too long.
- so many people had HUGE delays on the line. peice of cake ladies.

^i would have a huge delay on the line since it's harder to get an even start with an awd vehicle.
Lol... ummm isnt it the opposite AWD = more traction at the line? And anyways you wouldnt be competing against other cars, you'll be competing against your own given time. What they do is ask you how fast you think your car will run the 1/4. You then have to match that time as best as possible w/o going too much over or under your time. So its all good! Plus its mostly for fun and bragging rights lol, I think we should do it!!

really, never seen that.... its ok. my front end lifts waaaaay up when i get on it. since i put the new intake on, she brakes loose in 1st a bit :) but anyways, im gonna race next year. but im definitely going to go test and tune some nights pretty soon this summer and then again in early spring next year... i just have to stop modding for long enough so that it runs consistent... ha, like that will happen. so if anyone wants to meet up there... let me know.

Ya if you dont launch right your gonna have issues in any car awd or not, we gotta learn how high your car can hold rev and how strong ur clutch can hold a dump or slip the clutch (specially in the 5sp subies) but thats why we gotta practice launching so that we become pros lol...
