Well some changes have been made at this point. I've sold the VF39 to Smitch for his sub10K Sti. Still planning on using the LGT TGVs but I'll be picking up a VF43/injectors/TMIC from an 07 sometime this summer. Newer mods to the homowagon include:

An HKS catless 3 inch Downpipe
Ansa Silverline 3inch obnoxiously loud catback(Thanks Chuck!)
07 STi rear struts (thanks TW!)
SPT Pink STi springs(Thanks Again TW)
Group N Frnt Strut Mounts
Whiteline 24mm adjustable r Bar (sorry and thanks Milam)
Whiteline 24mm adjustable frt bar (Thanks Trai, er Dale!)
Noltec r endlinks
Kartboy f endlinks
STi Sideskirts(RIP Subiegirl's STi :sadbanana:)
and an STi steering wheel coming soon
Still have the rear diff and shifter bushings and a catless APS up-pipe to go in as well.

The driver mod is still in need of major adjustment too

engine threw a bearing(still in car don't know any more yet) while I was flogging it in the snow. Now for the next step in this build.
The haul for Wagzirra's new heart

2.5L Shortblock with ~20-30k on it. Had a slight rod knock when it came in. Customer replaced shortblock and gave me the old one(Thanks Milam!) We're gonna crack it apart Thursday night (moar pictors then!) and see what the damage is inside. The verdict at this point is that the pistons and rings should be good and the crank should be as well. If the crank is in need of replacement, it's getting robbed from Kraft's old shortblock(Thanks Dave!) I have a possibility of a set of ported 2.0 heads(still don't know so not getting excited) if not I'll rebuild mine(if they're ok still) with a complete new valvetrain. I will be buying Flounderhound's turbo in the next couple weeks and porting it, the exhaust manis, and whatever else NYFB wants to play with(I'm gonna need a crossover too :D) I have a catless up pipe to go in it and a GM boost control solenoid. I'm a lil sad about losing her but typing this and thinking about it is getting me excited for the future. The fun part now is gonna be keeping the transmission in one piece  I'll keep this thread updated over the next month or two as this comes together, should be fun!

oh snap more pictors! Got the gasket kit, rtv type goop shit to put the block back together and took apart donor block 2 to nab a crank and rods. More at some point. I have a few more bits here at the house to take some photos of and I picked up a distraction as well, it's own thread will be in this section momentarily.

Sorry to be ignorant, but why knowingly break the 5 speed? My car has had quite a few transmission/clutch issues so I'm sensitive on this subject.

actually the 2nd part of your statement is sorta my answer to the first part  I know that the 5 spd is a weak link in the WRX drivetrain. Especially on cars with increased HP and TQ(I'm hoping to double, at least, both with this build) and especially in bugeyes(I have an early build 03 137k on the stock 5er) and the gears that like to go are 2 and 3 primarily. I'm an autocrosser so the car will be taken to an autocross shortly after the build and tune and be beaten for a while in 2nd gear with gobs more TQ. I plan on runnin the higher end Motul gear lube in the trans but ya just never know. It's not so much planning to break it as expecting it. I won't be mad if we get the power I want out of the car and a 137k mile transmission decides to chew a gear to be honest. Same as I'm not mad the engine ate a bearing due to me not swapping out a known oil eater turbo then driving to Sno*Drift and floggin it up there and going apeshit off the rev limiter without checking the oil. My fault.

This here, leads to bearing death without enough erl in her. These are actually photos of me breaking the car. Happened during this rompin session in the parking lot.

Update time!! I have all of the block parts back now. I had a friend that worked for an Indy Car team here locally and wanted to see a boxer from the inside out. His father builds Ferrari race engines so he's been around engines his whole life. He also owns a 22B  back home in New Zealand. He had me ship the pistons to his dad's shop out in California for him to teflon coat the skirts. He did that for the cost of shipping and asked for nothing to hone the block and measure and set up everything. Now I just have to assemble it. I have a friend who was on the same path as me in another WRB bugeye wagon with the hybrid and decided to go back stock and trade for a 2011. Now he's trading me my stock heads for the ones he already has machined for the 2.5 and they're ported and polished (w00t!) he's also selling me the oversized valvetrain for it. This is shaping up to be a very nice engine. Being that I'm the king of the deal I scored a 6 speed for less than a used 5 speed. It needs rebuilt so it'll likely get 07 gears, 06 Synchros, and an 06 Center Diff with an aftermarket DCCD. Now I can tune it for maximum power and not worry aboot destroying the 5 speed  It's coming along quite nicely. It's looking to be brembos and a steering rack away from an STi Bugeye Wagon and this build is gonna be in the $3k -$3500 range. I'm quite pleased :)

anything else or is it more gear driven? I've probably got more stuff I could toss in a box and ship with it. I kinda have 2 basements full of subie stuff

Lol. Well, I have mostly pilot and wheel bearings right now. And the bearing to the transfer case (it was a gift to from my friend for my art project b/c that's the bearing that made my transmissions assplode). Gears are beautiful! So I'd have to brainstorm to see if I'd make a separate piece or combine bearings and gears.

Anything that you think would look good/fit in a shadow box. :D But I'm also up for random crap I could turn into planters and stuff.

Here are some big pieces that inspire my small scale mission:
