I'm really bored... so i fingered i'd post a thread about my bugeye build.

I spun a couple bearings so i had to replace the shortblock. after tooling around like an idiot, randomly taking shit off until i got down to where i thought i could pull the motor, we finally got it out.

my dumbass friend unbolted my AC line instead of unbolting the pump from the block... so then we had a green engine

had the shortblock bored and reassembled by Raw performance in illinois. It took a while, but it finally came back to me.
(yes, thats a yellow oil pan i would have gone with pink but they didnt have any)

it fired up first try... but some dumbass didnt tighten the oil drain line on the turbo quite right(me). but other than that it ran like a champ and as far as i know is still running. even though i heard word that the new owner is parting it out.

True, but it was a great learning experience. I would have loved to keep the car but I was moving out of my dad's house(for a second time, the first time was cut short because of an untrustworthy roommate and the sudden need to spend a shit ton of money to fix this thing) and I was afraid that I couldn't afford to keep it and live on my own... I was wrong... but now I have the STi and I don't have the worries that come with a modded 400 HP car.

I just recently found out that the spec-c trans was traded to an iic member and a stock 03 trans was installed... I foresee more shattered gears.
