How many of you have had the talk? The one about you talking about cars too much and how no one else cares. I've been trying to tell my friend for a while that she probably shouldn't consistently shift at 3500 rpms in her 01 outback with over 100k. I also told her that her clutch was almost gone. Nope I guess what I say doesn't matter. I'm not picking anyone up when their tranny or clutch goes . . . Anyone else get the talk from their friends???

just hang out with your non car caring buddies and when you see some hot car roll by...... they are still chit chatting a storm about random bs and your the only one watchin the car like a bug directed to light.

Most of my friends are into cars. And the ones that aren't have learned a lot from me. :D

My older sister! She hates that I talk about my car and my husbands car all the time. And when I try to talk about just cars in general she tells me I'm stupid! haha She doesn't like that I'm starting to know more about them and that my cars are more of tuners than ricers, of which she has owned 2 and never did the work on them! Yet I'm the one working on mine so I know what I'm talking about. I'm still learning and I'll admit it, but she still thinks I don't know enough to talk about cars at all.

My cousin, that used to work at my tiny home-town's race shop, talk about the cars all the time. In fact he's the one that found all the "extra" parts Eric had slipped on to his car without telling me! He also is the only one that has noticed the changes to my car without me saying anything! haha He can't wait to see Eric's now that it has the turbo!
I think his wife gets kind of tired of our car talks! haha

it's getting harder and harder as i get older to find friends who still want to talk shop, a lot of my usual friends have given up the car life to "be more responsible with their money." so usually talk of doing something to my car brings up nostalgic conversations about their old cars.

not to mention most of them have never done much racing other than street racing or drag racing, so when i start talking about late apexing or threshold braking i get that confused puppy dog look, and then i get a whole speech about how im wasting so much money on tires and how auto x is so hard on my shit.

at least you guys are lucky, i cant find any girl who is into cars without wanting to "be in them" if you know what i mean...
none of my friends know jack about this stuff so yeah i have had it so many times. and you want to know the funny part, one friend took me to go with her to buy a car, apparently i was embarrassing to her because i knew more so now none of my other friends will take me, despite the fact that she loves the car she bought and got a killer deal...

There's only one girl in my area that likes cars and I need to start hanging out with her more, the way I feel it should be is if I listen to your passions and support them for you then you should do the same for me. Just because my interests are different doesn't mean they are any less important to me than your interests are to you. And I can't stand it when i'm trying to help someone and they ignore it. It's like really man? You know I know more about cars so just shut up and listen when I tell you you shouldn't do something, you say you don't care if you break it but you saved up like 5gs just to get it. . . you should care.

My b/f is my best friend and a car nut, so I guess I am lucky in that aspect. I can geek out about cars with him. My closest g/f's are not into cars whatsoever. Sometimes it's a nice break (for me anyway) to not be around car people.

Hahaha I deff have friends that get frustraded with me when I start talking about my car. Oh wells! I try my hardest to talk about different stuff. It makes it a lot easier when some of my favorite people to hangout with are subie fanatics. They teach me so much!

none of my girl friends know anything about cars. i take them to car shows with me, and a few are learning. one loves corvettes so i teach her about them (new and classic). my other friends just dont listen. i'll usually have a big gasp if i see a sweet car on the road, and scare them all because they think we are going to crash. my boyfriend really isnt even into cars =( but he can fix them for the most part =)

ok, i understand where youre coming from and i hate that too. my friends dont care that i came from a family of mechanics and not one single "connection" their parents have is gonna be cheaper than having me or my dad look at it. i hate that. they used to come in to school and tell me the horror stories of losing brakes on the road and its gonna take the mechanic almost two weeks to fix it... blah blah blah. then when i would say well why didnt you bring it to my house??? and i get ignored. so its not just you...

oh and i even was in the car with my friend once when we broke down... all she needed was a jump, but i wasnt allowed to touch her car cause i think i know more than i do. gotta love friends.

i had an ass man and hated it cause i was so worried about my boobs all the time. now im with a boob man and they exploded from a 32 A to a 36 C, but im still not happy. :( i think im with you superwomanchick, im just gonna buy me a pair so i never have to worry about their size again...

wow... i leave for a week and this thread is still all aboot boobs... for the record, really big boobs are fun to look at... but they become a pain in the arse when it comes time to have some fun.... anything more than a handful is a waste... unfortunately i have very large hands, the girl im dating is self conscious about her boob size so she doesn't like me touching them, she says i make them seem small, but i can grab her ass whenever i want because my hands make that seem small too lol. in my opinion i think she looks beautiful the way she is, but i wont stop her if she wants to do a boob job or w/e, it's her body and if that's what she needs to feel better about herself, then whatevs.
