Subaru Cookbook!!

Hello Ladies and Gents! SubieGirls.com will be making a cookbook!! :D

An undetermined amount of proceeds will go to: Action Against Hunger. They are an organization that helps fight hunger around the globe. They implement different types of programs upon government agencies around the world. They teach these agencies how to provide food security and livelihood, they implement nutritional programs, and they implement water & sanitation programs to ensure that their citizens maintain healthy, clean and nutritional food and water sources.


Here are the regulations: :p

• The categories for the recipes are:
o Breakfast
o Lunch
o Dinner
o Appetizers
o Outdoor Grilling
o Desserts

• The deadline to get the recipes into me will be June 23, 2010 *edit *Extending the deadline to July 14, 2010

• If you want to submit pictures make sure to email me a high resolution copy of the image(s) to rebecca.hilton@hsc.utah.edu by June 23, 2010.

• Please have lots of fun with the pictures. Like they say on the Magic School Bus “Take chances, make mistakes, get messy.”

• We’re going to publish the cookbook through www.lulu.com (http://www.lulu.com).

^ 6/23 but we may make an extension. We pretty much need recipes for all categories right now. And a bunch of them! I've submitted 4 recipes so far.

No theme. Catagories are in the first post. The cookbook is for men - we were thinking easy-medium skill level. Maybe a few recipes to "impress" a woman. ;)

Well, I don't want to spam you guys with recipes. A vote to what I submit perhaps?

Grill - literally learned to cook on a grill before I learned to use the stove/oven. It's what happens when you live in a house with 7 guys and share a kitchen.
-Beer Can Chicken with a homemade bbq rub. Won a small beer can chicken cook off with this recipe. Only bad thing is the rub ingredient list is quite lengthy
-Grilled BBQ chicken pizza.
-Salsa, yes, you can make salsa on the grill
-Cuban sandwich pannini using bricks
-Breakfast pannini - spawned from tailgating so much
-Grilled Peaches over Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Chinese/asian
-My mom's recipe for egg rolls. It's not hard, but technique is pretty hard to master if you've never seen one made before.
-Another mom recipe for some crazy chinese asian lettuce wrap with crispy noodles, chicken and shrimp filling. no clue on its name
-Sushi Rolls - i can submit a few rolls and how to roll if necessary
-Hot n Sour Soup (dad's recipe)

-Parmesan crusted chicken with red sauce and noodles. I use a sauce from Alton Brown so I can't really submit the sauce recipe.
-Competition Chili - won 3rd place at work this year

I have a bunch more over the grill stuff, but those are my favorites. I can submit just the recipe itself or some photos for some of the more complicated stuff.

use a flat head screw driver as a fork some how :lol:

a good shot for the cover is someone posed in their kitchen if their kitchen has a island counter that is with probably like various ingrediants like Cinnamon and Spice (lil cue there) milk, flour every where like the models making a mess working hard making food. maybe even got some flour on herself and such. Stiring spoon in hand.. measuring cup to the side and big mixing bowl. and various other kitchen tools

and to show this is a car related site have some various car stuff like for added ingrediants show Synthetic motor oil of some kind, axle grease and other stuff like that

then have a few various car repair tools that flow with the kitchen tools to work with the theme
maybe even have flour on one cheek and grease on another :D
