I'm thinking about taking a vacation to California. Aaaaand having Subie Girls tent at Subiefest. This will be during Scoobies for Boobies so this will be a GREAT way to get the word out there on SO many different levels. But I'd need help.

Well, this isn't set in stone... but I have friends/family in CA do I'm due for another trip out west. I don't think any of the other east coast girls would be going (I hope they do though!).

If you think you will go, I NEED to know. I would need help in 1-2 booths and as you know we don't have many CA girls to help. This would be an important event to spread the SubieGirls word. :)

I believe it will probably be in Sept. last year it was in August and I think they were talking about pushing it back a month. The details are still being worked on, but I will keep you updated if you would like...

We're also in the process of desiging out shirts this year and I submitted a few designs so hopefully mine will get chosen.

Sarah, lmk if there's anything I can do to help. A few people grabbed some SG flyers from the MySubie booth in San Diego a week and a half ago :) SoCal is key.

Chad let me know, if any of you guys are interested, Im working with Sashin to put together the volunteers for the event, we can offer small perks such as free event entry and free shirts. Sashin says that there might be other perks but until anything is finalized I cannot say for sure. I will be opening a thread shortly as long as the Admins dont mind with full information

Ok here is the deal- Sarah I PM'd you.

The event is about 1h45m from LAX and about 2h15m from my family...
Course my family works so I have not talked to them about staying with them... so if I come I need to confirm lodging and change my flight to Sunday. Soooo, once we get that straightened out... I can be the official SubieGirls photographer :) annnnd yeah. I also need to see how much all this will cost because I plan on getting a rental car but if thats going to be mad expensive then... I am not sure what I am going to do... :(

Tina, can I put you in charge of the kids tent? I know you said you'd be coming babe in tote.

I'll organize the volunteers I have so far and bring the supplies. It would be good to have a 2nd hand in the am to set up that tent while I set up the SubieGirls/Scoobies for Boobies tent. :)

How about a SubieFest - SubieGirls playlist for the event? Not sure if we'll be able to have music, but I have a nifty little portable speaker thinger for my iPod. What music do you want?

In high school I had to do community service hours to graduate... and I wore a Beaver costume once for some charity work... I forget what exactly now... but it was hilarious. anyways... I'm rambling. It will be fun times! :lol:

I'm probably going to wear jeans - and bring a change of shorts just in case. Knowing that track it's going to be cool in the morning warm in the afternoon and will probably cool down to jean weather by about 4-5'ish.

Lol your bf is wrong. Last years subiefest was in the high 80s. Very pleasant. However it has been known to get into the hundreds out there but this year shaping up to be in te 80s again

Yup. In 2008 they had Subiefest in September and the temps were 108+! Not fun. But last year they moved it to Oct for cooler temps.
