this took a whole day and a half.. its fluorescent pink with glitter topcoat. Blue metallic for the hazard button and shift boot holder. I hand painted the STi on the shift boot holder... next I'm doing my head/tail light challenge.

Custom Headlights 8/3:

took a whopping 2.5 days to do. 28 single LEDs and Lightwerkz Halo kit. Handpainted part of it, and rattlecanned the rest.

I already know most pple r gunna hate it, but I like it and it matches the car, plus I had fun doing it.. took a whole day to paint them, and then had to seal them the next day. I'll add more pics of it as a post on here.

i am working with a friend who just got her tattooing license on ideas so when she comes back to vermont (shes in michigan right now) i want her to do something simple on my back at first and if i like what she does gonna have her do a full sleeve car themed with hot rods pinups wrenches and trucks and cars and you get the idea.

actually let me know how the flaps hold out a friend of mine wanted to paint her custom "RSTI" badge as close to STI Pink as possiable and used model paint that she found and told me its not doing so well. she might have to try some nail polish!

UPDATE: painted interior doorhandle/tweeters/arm rest panels/top dash vent panels, spray painted the headlight housing black with pink rings (I handpainted the blue piece with matching car paint, blue with pink metal flakes), installed halo/angel eyes, and 28 single white LEDs (glued down). Won another Car show (Summer Meltdown) for 1st place Subaru! YAY!

I am not a big fan of pink but the outside of your car is SICK. As for the inside it isn't my favorite but it looks like it fits you really well and i love how you stuck with the one color for the car.

Favorites are definitely the paint job headlights and the flaps!!

thats a quick paint job i just did that I had in mind..

so i was thinking about etching the glass out on the turn signal to create an arrow pointing the direction i was going. (pic shows how it'd look being lit up).. im not too sure if it'll work, but its worth a shot.. the rest of the chrome pieces I'm going to black out, as I did with the head lights.. and then im going to spray the stock red break piece pink.. and possibly do black outlines of stars, or completely black filled in stars on the pink breaking area.. If I spray it right, when I still hit my brakes, it'll still light up red.. with a hint of pink...

Paint wont let me rotate the shapes, so keep in mind that i'll be sure to line them up to be parallel to the ground, and not awkwardly angled like the picture. lol

im just not too sure when I'm going to have the time to do all of this though. lol

yeah I did them myself, my friend helped me with the electrical wiring (for the Halos and LEDs). Instead of baking them, I used a heat gun, a lot less stressful. lol

I saw your car a few ahead of ours on the way home from the kanc the other day, and actually all the lights function just as they should. As long as they do it's legal isnt it? Now tiniting tails black or something like that is another story because it impairs the visuality of the brake and directional lights. Yours look just like they should still. Must've been alot of work. How'd you do it? Taping and stenciling? Did you use a spray or brush on paint?

thanks! yeah I had to tape/mask everything pretty much.. I spray painted most of everything, besides the blue parts. It took a whole day to paint, and then a night for the silicone to seal back up, and then installed it in the morning.

I would agree with this. As long as visually the lamps function as they should there presumptively would be no issues.

But, knowing how people take things personally ("what I think") versus what is correct ("what the actual rules say/state") could possibly lend itself to the OP being pulled over and "hassled".

Honestly though, I see a lot worse on the roads in terms of coverings and overall non-compliance, and because her car's taill lamps function as they should, I don't see her car being a problem.

Uh oh, I completely forgot about this part. :(

07SubieQT is absolutely correct. USDM cars are supposed to have up front amber corner reflectors and out back rear and side facing red reflectors.

Well technically I think it's illegal.. its hard to tell if i'm braking during the day. the only way to tell is from the red strip under the wing.. I'm thinking of changing out the break bulbs to brightass LED bulbs.. lol the brakes are obvious at night though.. I've passed many staties in the past week during the day, but they havent pulled me over yet *knocks on wood*

So.. I got bridgestone blizzaks as an early xmas present from the parents. I traded my stock goldies for my friend's stock silvers (i'd hate to ruin goldies) I painted those wheels as my winter set. I'll upload pics when I get them put on the car.

You should powdercoat your intake manifold. :) start spreading your personality to the engine bay. I just did mine, I love it.

You should powdercoat your intake manifold. :) start spreading your personality to the engine bay. I just did mine, I love it.

I've been wanting to make a life size domo for a while now, but decided to wait so I could get this project funded by school credit as my sculpture class. Doma is completely hand sewn and made out of fleece, foam, cotton, and felt. I have not found suitable material for her eyes yet, so right now they're just construction paper. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

haha, it is extremely sparkly, especially at night.. I used spray paint.. mm smells delicious :D, but no really, the smell is almost gone, thank god.. haha, i let it sit out in my garage for almost a whole week before installing it in my car..

Yes it is suede. It was originally done in solid Alcantara but it didn't look right so I had it done with suede :)

Babee's currently having her front bumper repainted.. I couldnt stand seeing all the rock chips and crappy snow weather that is obvious on the front.. She's getting re-painted for free because the paint shop owes me from having an oopsies on the trunk the first time. Yay for people who honor their words, almost a whole yr later!

and I'm dealing with a stress crack in the right passenger front wheel :/

at first when I saw the wheel, the tire was completely flat. I had no idea it was from the cracked wheel until I brought it to my tire shop. So the price jumped to fix this unfortunate mess is from $160 (if it were just the tire)to buying a whole new wheel.. My heart dropped when I called up TireRack cuz these wheels are discontinued. :( :( :( .. I've been looking online, but no luck. Realistically, no one is really just selling one single wheel. lol, so I might just have to wait to save up enough money to buy all 4 (used) from someone. :(

We had a flat on the Sti in the winter and the snow tires he had were discontinued as well so we ended up having to buy 4 new ones!! That ish sucked... So I feel your pain girly...

anyways, I found a guy who's selling his used wheels for an okay price.. I'm thinking I might as well buy a whole set if the rest could possibly do the same in the long run..

front bumper is done being painted, looks mint!! :D
now all I have to do is scramble to get these wheels, powder coat them, balance and put the tire on(and pray its not really a flat/punctured anywhere else), and mount them. then all set for WBM :D can't wait to see u girls!!

and yes, I have. They are on to bigger and better wheels, and said the distributors that carried them in the US (its too far/expensive to ship from anywhere outside of the US) are all sold out.

I bought mesh foglight covers back in '06 and then decided to make my own. So the new ones will be on for WBM. :D

Personally..... I'd get 04/05 tails and call it a day. ;)

haha yeah these were taken @ WBM, hand painted/drew each wheel with a paint pen, then cleared over the whole thing.. some of the paint pen came off from the chemical reaction of the pen and clear, so I had to go over a few spots w/ the pen again, and reclear it right away.. I found that the quicker you clear over it, the less chance it'll disappear which was weird.. but the design itself took about 2 hrs each, not including touch-ups and clear.

I finally got to see your car in person at WBM. I really do like it. Also, I spoke to you very briefly and you are very pleasant to talk to.

What blew me away are your tail lights. I'm an LED freak and when I saw the upper outer star pattern illuminate in the center when you stepped on the brakes, I was really like WOW! Now that's a custom job and unique to say the least!

IDK what anyone says (and really, who cares), but you have done an awesome job on your car.

Thanks!! I guess all that time and effort paid off. I'm gunna attempt another set of tails just in case one LED goes out in this one, so I can switch off while I fix the other (if worse comes to worse). I also wanna re-do my head lights, with some type of LED pattern, instead of the row like most pple have their "strips" set up as.

yeah I still plan on incorporating guns on the wheels.. not quite sure when I'll have time to do so, but it'll get done :)
