Does anyone do any ralllying through NER (New England Region)? My boyfriend and I have done a few in the past year. We just did the Big Lap Rally up in Laconia NH which was a time/speed/distance rally. We didn't do that good but it was only our 3rd rally of tsd. We had a lot of fun which is all that matters.
Our next rally we will be doing is the Hurdle Rally in Southington CT. This is a gta rally where they give you clues and a map and you have to find the location and answers.
This sounds like tons of fun. I would love to do it w/ Ed. My main question is... are the routes paved the whole way/ Or do they take you through dirt roads and such?

For the Time/speed/distance they are a combo of paved and unpaved roads. But on the gta they are just paved roads. We did the hurdle gta last year and it was a blast. Last year we used my boyfriend's impreza but since I got a new car I will be the driver and he will be the navigator. Go to NER.org and has a calendar of events. The hurdle is in the beginning of August.
Ya we wouldnt be able to do any of the unpaved drives since the car is very low w/ coilovers, not good for that kind of driving! I'm going to look into this and see if we could do it, Sounds like a blast!

I don't have the patience for TSD rallies (I also have the attention span of a 2 year old) However I'll be running in NER this year if that's the kind of rally you're talking about.

We used to rally with them, but it just got too expensive after a while.

Missed this until now- but after the Team O'Neil Performance Rally- they had a TSD for the workers and crew- this is a really cool idea for the people who help keep a rally running to see the roads and have fun! That is past but I will try to post it up sooner for next year- this was in Dalton, NH.

hell yah i love rallying!!!!! been to some awesome ones driving, spectating, and volunteering . ( the only thing that sucks is how expensive they can be. its great when they have a little practice area you can go sick in) also autocross!!!! well it depends on the event and the course if the roads are paved or not .I'm pretty sure that By definition rally means alternating terrain. there are a ton of different types of rally . Make sure that you do a walk through if you are going to drive, or co-drive. do the girls here ever meet up at car events or rally races or anything? if anyone has or knows someone who has a lot of land i say we have our own little rally. when and where is the next one you're all going to ??

why does it have to be a dude that gets us girls into subies??? why can't it say "HEY GIRLS DID YOU GET YOUR BOYFRIEND or GIRLFRIEND INTO SUBIES??" lol. no but my boy has a SICK 05 STI 438 wheel horsepower 400 wheel torque. the fastest thing i've ever been in and I've been in some serious cars!! i love when people want to try and beat him and they might have some hp but nothing to support it and we blow them to hell. the only thing that sucks is that we were going to buy a house but he is a freak and never can be happy with what he has so he builds and engine, then a new one, etc etc. hopefully he won't want more whp anytime soon hahaha he also has 2.5 rs the killer panda(love this baby too)
