hey everyone, thinking about replacing the lights in my interior, basically the ones in the doors, and making them blue. I'm sure this is really simple i just havent taken the time to go try and figure it out. Wondering if anyone here has done it, and what are the best bulbs to use. Thanks!

If you want to go the LED route, just let me know. I've tried and tested many an LED bulb to see what works the best. But I haven't changed them all and so if I haven't done something, I will both let you know and refer you to someone who can help you.
This is just a sample:
Did you say blue?

Big-E, those lights look great! I am definitely going with the LED lights, and would appreciate a reccomendation. my brother helps me a lot with my car, but I wanna try and do this myself. Now I am interested in doing those footwell lights. i had ones like that in my old pathfinder but I like the set up of those better.
07SubieQT, door controls and underdash must look amazing! Thanks for asking for me!

Most of the LED lights I have I purchased from Super Bright LED's (www.superbrightleds.com).
The ones under the hood are the SBL brand of Luxart light modules. They have a built-in resistor so they're a virtual plug-and-play.
I used 3M double-sided tape to affix them to the underside of the I/C deflector plate, ran the wiring through the hood, then through a grommet I installed into one of the openings in the hood, then used wire-loom and then down to a manual switch inside the engine compartment, an inline micro-fuse holder and then wired to the battery.
Inside the car I changed the bulbs for the key-ring, the accessory plug in the center console, and the glove-box. I used their high-output SMD bulbs PN: 74-xHP3. The "x" stands for the color you want. So, if blue then: 74-BHP3.
For the ones that are affixed to the underside of either side panel to the center console, I used their puddle lamps, PN: ALM-x3 (in blue would be ALM-B3). I wired them to a constant power source and grounded them to the control module that is the "time out" for the interior lamps. When the doors open, those puddle lamps turn on. When the door is closed, the lamps will eventually time out and shut off with the rest of the interior lamps.
To affix them I used 3M's heavy-duty fasteners. These are not similar to Velcro where there is the "hook and loop" design. These are like more firm straight fingers, so-to-speak. These are used to affix, for example, an EZ-Pass to your windshield.
Ask me any questions and I'll be happy to answer them for you. If I can't answer something, I will either direct you to someone who can answer or I will tell you outright, I just don't know. I don't like to screw around. No BS.

My husband did all red in his car, I can post pics later. Basically, he used bulb condoms with some bulbs and with the other he ended up painting parts of the illuminated areas red. I know this doesnt make much sense now but I will post pics later :)

I put LED bulbs into the tail-lamps; they are not inexpensive:

Amber: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Parking-Light-LED/Amber-LED/2-AMBER-7W-HIGH-POWER-p6634404-1-2.html
White: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/Turn-Signal-LED/White-LED/2-WHITE-5K-V-LEDS-7W-p8854223-1-2.html
I use the above bulbs and they are much, much brighter than the OEM incandescent bulbs.
